Right now I would say they look like a dsh tabby. One brown and one silver I think. Hard to tell just from tummy pictures.

ok.. first picture, it's ALL white on the back. I did tummy pictures because you could see patterns and colours better.
in second picture you see, the forehead with two brown stripes..that going all way on the back but growing out to not be. s/he has a GREAT patterns, I tell you.

Both kittens are adorable. They both have the same pattern which is a tabby. I can't tell if they are a classic or Mac tabby. Both have great markings. As for the breed unless you have registration papers from a cat registry it is hard to tell if they are any breed. And as they grow you will find out if they are a long haired or a short haired cat. Both have very cute faces. I would love to see how they look as they grow.

Gina,
How old are they now. You should be able to tell by 6 weeks old. Have they been to a vet yet because they should be able to tell what sex they are. Plus they need to get started on the vaccination series. I breed Maine Coons and there are standards for each breed of cat, ie Scottish Folds Persians ect. I woul have to see head type body type ect to check to see what standard it meets or may be close to. But without registration papers they will be concidered a DSH or DLH. I would love to see pictures as they grow they have wonderful color and patterns to them. And if they are as nice as I think they are you can show them in CFA in the House Hold Pet class. But get them to the vet and first get them their first round of shots. And find out what sex they are. Keep us posted on these 2 cuties!

stella, even though I'm not the breeder, I, as vet assistant have took them (four) to vet (fun to weight them in end of weekly). four vets couldn't tell one out of three boys if she's a boy.
in fact, the second paw in my signature, "he" is the only unisex feline I have. but "he" eats like a boy and I already have a lot of females in here  :D
anyway, the first shot they should get will be when they're 9 weeks old. now they are only five...almost six weeks old. yes! they're so big already  I wanted the name of breeds, not the advices, thanks! :)

I don't know what breed... but that white one is gorgeous! Might he have some Siamese in him? It'll be easier to tell once she/he's older and muscle tone develops.

oh one more thing... rpcathouse mentioned "tabby".. I just realized I've never seen this white tabby with this kind of beautiful golden/silver patterns. the dark features keep on getting darker and appears somewhere else on white... any thoughts now.....?
to help some, their mother iss DLH siamese. will post picture on request!

I am sorry I didn't know you didn't want advice. I am always concerned about the welfare of kittens. I can't help it. As for what breed I do know this for fact. Without a pedigree they are not a breed at all. They will be known as a Domestic Long or Short Haired Cat. If you want to research what breed it is simular to you can go to CFA.ORG and click on breeds and see what one your kittens are simular to.

Aha! I knew they' have Siamese in them somewhere! I'm getting good at this! :D I do think they darken up with age. He shold become a lovely platinum color as he gets older. He'd look real good in my tabby collection ;) And I love the Siamese mixes. So personable and talkative... emphasis on the talkative :D

Pretty babies! I think they will be short or medium domestic short haired kitties but I am no expert........The one with the tiger stripes markings could pass as a Maine Coon, maybe; best thing to do is look at the parents and go from there.....Cat lovers will pay for what they want, if in fact your friend wants to sell these lovely babies at all.......I bought a Himalayan kitten about a year ago simply for the looks and purr---sonality :) even though he wasn't registered and can't be..........Stella is a cute name, by the way, best of luck and give them some hugs & kisses for me. :)

I just read more of the posts.......It can be very hard to tell the sex of the cat when they are young......my male was originally thought to be a female by the breeder....I just knew he was male for some reason (personality, face, etc) but even at his first 2 vet visits THEY weren't sure....takes a while for a male's "stuff" to drop sometimes..................best of luck
