rat toes?

hi im new im emma
im sorry if this is in the wrong place

i have a rat called abbie
i was wondering does anybody know why rats have 5 toes at the back and only 4 at the front ?

That's just the way they were made, I am not sure exactly why they don't have a 5th toe on the front. I like how they don't have 5 toes on the front, makes them unique! I love watching my little girls grab things and see them make a fist with only 4- it looks so silly! hehe!
