Ma'am, what you have there is a bobcat, a very handsome bobcat. They are known for exactly the type of behavior you describe in Cairo--head-butting, mountain-wandering, and playfulness. Please don't be embarrassed by your mistake in assuming that this large specimen is a mere cat--no, not a meerkat, a MERE CAT. Anybody could have made it. I am no expert on cat breeds, but I once worked with a lady whose passion was Maine Coons and you look very like one of her Maine Coon kitties. You do look so much like a little tiger or lynx standing majestically out in his kingdom, absolutely breathtaking!! Whatever your lineage is however, it's clear you have a wonderful loving home with a person who adores you beyond words.
