Mom doesn't understand!!! (a rant)

[Summer Magic]

Mom and I live together and we share all of the responsibilities with our three little girls. Two cats one dog. The problem is mom doesn't care that much for the dog. Magic (the dog) doesn't respond to any of the commands that mom gives her and has shown aggressive tendencies toward her. I've tried to have mom involved in the NILIF program with Magic but she doesn't think it's worth the time (mom's time, she's 85) Now the enevitable has happened, Mom got bit. Why? For slapping Magic with a dish towel when she was barking at her. I HIT THE ROOF!! Told mom NEVER hit my dog again. She said oh I didn't hurt her that much she just attacked me. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE!

Sounds like Magic has put your Mum on the bottom of the pack list. It is something that both of you have to work at. How?, well there are smarter people than me on here that will advise you no doubt. Good luck with it mate.

First of all, Magic is a gorgeous girl. Wow, she looks like a queen. It sounds like Magic senses that Mom doesn't like her so she is acting accordingly. I'm with Oggyflute, these wonderful people here will know what to do so hang in there. I would be hitting the roof also if I were you. I hope this can be worked out very soon. It is a very touchy situation for you cause you love your Mom and you love Magic and you guys have to find a solution so you can live together. Good luck.
