*sigh* Where in the world to begin! There is not enough time or space to tell all of Leroy's antics so I will just hit the hightlights.
When hubby and I first moved here we noticed lots of cats hanging around the house across the street. I was to learn later that she would feed strays and bring home lost cats that she found. She provided food, water, and some shelter.
Hubby and I loved our front porch and would sit outside as often as we could. We soon began having a visitor everytime we went outside. This orange/white kitten that was about 7 or 8 months old. He would come straight over and jump into my lap and purr like nobodies business!
Soon he began hanging around even when we were inside. He would sit on a small table we had outside and peep into the window. All you could see were these big ears and eyes and that is when hubby started calling him Leroy from the cartoon.
One very hot summer day I was sitting on the bedroom floor putting together a flower arangement when hubby went outside. He came back in and said he thought Leroy was dying! I went running out to see Leroy laying on the porch with his third eyelid covering half of his eye and he wouldn't get up. I gently carried him inside to the air conditioning and put him in the bedroom with me. I didn't want him near Sammy since I didn't know what was wrong. He just layed in my lap so pitifully. I told hubby we had to get him to the vet ASAP! Since we had been here such a short amount of time we had not been to any local vet yet and didn't know where to go. I gently layed Leroy on the bed and went to call my brother for local vet info. I was desperately trying to find someone open on Saturday and having no luck. I went back to check on Leroy and found my flower arrangment scattered over the entire bedroom floor!!! He was sitting up in the middle of the mess, perky as ever, and having the time of his life! I soon learned that when Leroy is sleepy he looks like he is dying! To this day his third eyelid covers his eyes and he droops until he has his nap.
That is how Leroy came into the house and not much has changed in the last five years!
This is one of the first pictures of the knucklehead.
GEEZ, she takes everything so serious!

I went to talk to my neighbor about him since it was obvious that he had adopted us and I didn't want to get into trouble for stealing her cat. That was when I learned Leroy's story. She told me that she had found him sitting outside the door of our local grocery store. She said he was wandering the parking lot and meowing at everyone that came and went through the door. She brought him home but was very glad that we took him in. So just like that he wormed his way into our home and lives, and it has never been the same since!
*Snort*Snort* Sucked them right in didn't I?

In the last five years he has made me cry, laugh, and want to choke him more than any other animal has ever done to me!
Who? Me?????

He got outside one time and disappeared for three days and I nearly lost my mind. He is the BIGGEST BRAT in the house!
I can't believe she is saying these things!

For all the trouble, tears, and laughter he has caused I swear he is my soul kitty. He is the most loving cat I have ever met. He knows no strangers. He loves to snuggle with his momma and always makes me smile. He is there when I'm sick, troubled, or happy. Everyone who meets him loves him.
Here are a few favorite pictures of Leroy.
He is the only cat in the house that Stubby adores.

For Leroy the world is his oyster. It was strictly designed for his pleasure and comfort with the attitude of "Why shouldn't it be?" There is much to learn from this character! He is the clown, the dork, the sweetheart of our house. He has aged hubby and I by ten years but we wouldn't trade him for anything in this world. I could write a book about him but the gist of it is that he is my soul mate, my joy, and the love of my life.
Thats our Leroy!
