My puppy Saphira-Jade, is a black mixed in with greyish spots cocker spaniel. She will be 8 mo. on the seventh. She has cute fuzzy paws and has a "rare" color. Anyone else have a cocker spaniel?

Is she an English Cocker? I know that they come in a colour like you're describing, she sounds like a beautiful girl:) I don't have a Cocker but my Grandparents have one American Cocker named Sassy. I'll have to see if I can find a pic of her. Welcome to PT by the way! I hope you enjoy it here!

Hi there, I couldn't help but notice your siggie. It says you have a "rare" parakeet. Can you post a picture of it? When most Americans refer to parakeet, they refer to the budgie (though "parakeet" is a very general term and I don't like using it when talking about specific species). As I'm an avid budgerigar enthusiast, can you tell me a bit more about Hedwig? I LOVE seeing (reading, LOL) the different mutations. Thanks!
Btw, where did you get your Cocker? If she's from a breeder, her AKC papers (AKC if you live in the US and CanadianKC if you live in Canada) should tell you what her breed is.
Americans:

English:

There are amazing differences between the two, and you should find out pretty quick. ;)

Cute, Jesse!!! She looks just like our old neighbors dog, Cole. And yeah, Saphira is an American. And I got her from my aunt, and I don't think she's registered yet.
And Hedwig (the sign at the store said 'Rare Parakeet') she's white with some yellow, very cute. I don't have any pics of her but I'll try to find any others.

Thank you.
He had a skin tag removed last Thursday. He gets his bandage taken off tomorrow. :) We will both be happy when that happens. ;)

When you say black and grey -- do you mean blue merle?

Saphira and Snuggs, are you shooooo-er you're talking about yellow and white? Because I've always been taught that yellow goes with green and white goes with blue. According to my studies, it's impossible to end up with a white and yellow bird unless you have a genetic miracle (and even then...I'm not so sure). Are you misinterpreting the "white" as shades of yellow? I love budgie mutations, so can you tell me where the white is on her body? Sorry I'm a budgie fan:D
Btw, that's a beautiful color on a Cocker.

OK, hold on, really sorry, I was away last time so I couldn't really pay close attention to the colors... I'm back now. So... here she is. She looks like white and yellow, but then again I have bad eyes so it is possible to be a light shade of yellow. Sorry if I caused any confusion... :) '
