LOL, I've been amusing myself with this. The slower you type a name, the more names it brings up.
The closest to mine was Mickie. The most popular period for that spelling of my name was in the 40's - the 60's. :)

My name, which is actually a nickname, was most popular in the 1980's as a boy's name. It didn't even rank as a girl's name.

That was really interesting. My name didn't even rank when I typed in Jayna as a whole. However, when I typed in Jay, there were plenty of names that were popular throughout several decades with that same Jay beginning. When I put in Jayn, the closest was Jayne, popular through the 40s-60s. I guess I have an unusual name. My husband's name, Brent, by comparison, was very popular in the 70s and 80s, and he was born right in the mid-70s.
My mom's name, dad's name, and brothers' names all fell into being most popular during the time frame in which each was born, as well as my in-laws' names and my grandparents' names, etc. I guess I'm the oddball. :)
Alyson
Rank in 2003 : 441
It wasn't ranked at all until the 60s
lol Shayna was not ranked at all till the 80's, and at its highest it the 90's and some of those in the 90's were from me lol people heard my name when I was a baby and so many people liked it that shorty after I was born a bunch of people in thic city anyway were naming there baby girls "shayna" lol and I think I have only ever found one person older then me with that name :p now my brother name does not even exist of the system lol and I have yet to meet 1 other person with my brothers name, his name? Daly(pronounced the same a "daily") when he was little a teacher even got mad at him and said "you are NOT a little kid anymore, your name is DALE" lol my mom had to go explain to the teacher that his name is not Dale, its actually "Daly" lol

Well now if I'm looking at this right my name (Anna) was the most popular in the 1900's. It was the #4 name.
It's all time low was when I was named in the 60's. It was #101 then.
And in 2003 it was #21.

I just noticed it was #23 in the 80s when I was born. My parents weren't too original. They just wanted to name me something that could be pronounced in both spanish and english.

LOL, I rank at 502 in 2003. Not even in the 1000's in 1990 and before that, there was no name like mine. :D
I did my father's name and it doesn't show anything after the 1930's. I told him he was out of date. lol :D ;)

52 girl Jordans in the 1990's. Ah, the 90's generation is just copying me. Only 28 boy Jordans in the 90's. That's surprising.

That was interesting! My name (Deborah) was #5 in the 50's when I was born. Now it is #617. I mean - do you know any Debbie's who are young people??:) :p

That was fun. My name was Nr 3 in the 30s and Nr 6 in the 50s when I was born. I would never have expected that because it is not THAT popular here. It was Nr 142 in 1900 and Nr 628 in 2003- so I guess it is an all-purpose name:D
I always was happy that it exists in many languages - I would hate to be a Friederike or Sieglinde (rather un-cool names:D plus you can never understand your name if they call your name in an airport ;)).

Karen was ranked #3 in the 1960s, no surprise there, I'm never the only Karen in any group of girls/women. It's #143 in 2003.
My older brother's name, Iver, is not on any top 1,000 ever!

That's very interesting, but I was very surprised to see that my name was #1 in the 1980s. I was named in 1974 and Mom told me they almost named me Jennifer but decided on Jessica as it seemed a lot less common to them, Mom didn't know anyone, adult or child, with the name at that time.
The reason it surprised me though is that I've almost always been the only Jessica in my classes, in high school, college, always been the only Jessica in my workplaces and most things I've ever been involved in. My high school graduating class had multiple kids named Jennifer and Amy.
I know it's not an unusual name but I never figured it would be THAT common based on my experiences. I guess I just don't happen to run into all the other Jessicas that are out there much :p

My niece is a Jessica, she's 19, and there are always tons of Jessicas, Jessies, Jess, etc., wherever she goes!
You've just gotta hang out with a younger crowd, Jess!
