Look what I woke up to this morning!

I set the trap last night and checked it before going to bed. I knew I had been successful when I moved the trap onto some foam and a Snuggle Safe at 11PM. I had covered the whole thing with a couple of blankets (25 degrees predicted) so I only peeked at the contents.

What a surprise I had when I got up.

They are at the vet's this morning for a test, spay/neuter and shots.

One girl, a tabby

and a boy, a tuxedo

They were really feral. The boy wet himself and the vet techs were afraid to open the carrier to change his bedding! He was let loose last night. I kept the girl overnight and let her out this morning. She was reluctant to leave the warm carrier since it was only 25 degrees.

Now if I can only get that big black one that runs with them......and whoever else is out there. Our neighborhood seems to have a lot of cats running free.

Poor scared babies. Glad you were able to get them the vet care they needed - keep up the great work!

And another! Very large, very very feral all black cat in the trap last night. No pic, but maybe after I pick her (I assume its a her) tonight from the vet's.

It's a Boy! And not at all happy with staying in a carrier all night. When I opened the door this morning, he put his ears back and hissed big time......but sat there long enough for me to get a pic.

He was a big boy with some gray on his chin, but black all over (not as brown as the picture seems.)

I hope I'm running out of strays cause I'm running out of $$$. They run about $125 each. All tests, shots, surgery, flea treatment.

Wow! He is a big boy! I know what you mean about running out of money. I had 15 ferals altered and tested, etc. before I moved house. That plus finding homes for all of them stressed me big time. But we gotta do it, right?

Blessings to you,
M

Mary, this is a section of Pet Talk that I have not visited very much due to time constraints. I had no idea that you were doing your own TNR program in your neighborhood. Good for you!!!! :) You will be rewarded with extra jewels in your crown.
