Cat spit and Kool Aid.

I have little box of powdered drink mixes that sits on the counter.

Black Cherry, mango, hibiscus (jamaica), cherry, melon, watermelon and a bunch of others. Some are the Kool Aid, others are another brand that makes exotic flavors.

Almost every package has teeth marks in them, the powder inside every package open to the humidity turns into a hard patty of drink mix....

Well, it ain't humidity.

Last night I saw the reason for the powder to turn into stone.


CAT SPIT.

I watched the Edmeister pull a packet to the floor, punch holes in the package and LICK THE POWDER THAT HAD ESCAPED.

I felt a little queasy because of the 300 holey packages I have mixed and drank since the Edster came to live with me.

Then I reflected on my health, I haven't died yet........

But how am I gonna explain that to the people I have entertained?



"Hey, I just made some Kool - Aid/fruit drink.....want some??"



I can explain the cat hair, but CAT SPIT??????;) :D

It's always been a entertainment hit!
I just don't tell them about the Cat Spit.
The other types I've come to savor,
Just don't have that Cat Spit flavor!

There used to be a product called "lick em ade". It was like Pixie sticks, it had kool ade and sugared powder in it and was meant to be licked or eaten from the straw. Maybe that's what Eddie thinks your Kool ade is!:D

OMG! LOL LOL LOL I'm sorry, but this had me laughing to hard this afternoon! You can definitely only share this information with other pet people...

Actually Richard,its a proven fact,taht a Cats mouth,is a lot cleaner,than ours.nad thier saliva,is too.

Hope the packets of drink mix are sugar free, otherwise you will have a cat that needs Adderal. I feed my cat ice cream from the same spoon I eat from and it hasn't killed me yet.

That's a funny and somewhat icky story, but my cat Leo is always trying to drink out of my water cup, and he usually manages to drink a little of it if I'm sleeping or if I don't catch him right away, so I guess I'm not too grossed out by the kitty spit/kool aid drink concoction! :)

His tongue turns colors but I haven't checked the OTHER side of the Edster.....
