Happy Thursday everybody! :)

We're about 90 miles out of Denver and my wireless card is blinking a steady green, so here I am. :D

Had a Rose Margarita last night. It was yummy! It was sort of like a strawberry Marg. but creamy too. The girl said it was made with rose tequila.

Got the viewing tomorrow and the funeral on Friday, so this will probably be my only post this Thursday. Hope you all have a great Thursday! :D

Edit: just came into view of the Rockies. Lots of snow peaks there at this time of year. :D

Not to worry, I'm sort of around - finally. We had our Annual Meeting at work so I worked 12 days straight. Evidently I wore my poor body out because now I have that nasty flu/cold with a dry very hurtful cough. I have been home on the couch with my fur-healers for the last three days being totally unable to eat anything. Actually, I'm about to leave work and go home again :( Maybe I could get a CNT with some honey please? It might stay down and sooth the cough. Thanks all.

Good evening all.

It's been a long day and I'm very tired and don't have much to say. I'm just going to curl up by the fire with a shot of brandy.

All I can think of is Randi and Debbie/Terry and the pain they must be going through. :( Too bad we all didn't have magic wands to wave over the land and take all the pain away.

I gang Boy what a day I have had. It was really great how many people turned out for our homecoming for the troops Had 150 cars in the parade half the personnal got so in to the ribbions and flags about a 1/3 of them were tearry. It was so great. I was bawling the 3 miles from the airport and the whole time during the parade .My kids had plenty of napkins for me.
Then I get home and read the Last post from John via Randi. I really have had LES today.
Hey Slick slide over and let's share a brandy and the couch Please.

Sit here Corinna. How are you, my friend? What a day you've had. Teary eyed.....I'd be a basket case.

You know, the good thing about Thursdays is you can come here to have fun, or you can just sit quietly with your own thoughts and good friends.

Oh dear, our shots are empty. Be right back with refills.

And it looks inviting.............think I will join them in a minute.

Corinna, I would have been right beside you bawling my eyes out! Please tell all of the men and women that you encounter, how proud we are of them.

The fire is pretty and warm isn't it?

2005 has started out rough for so many near and dear to me, and I'm thinking of them every day. Every day, I think and say a prayer for John, and for Randi that she find strength and comfort, for Debbie and Terry who must be going through such a sad and difficult time, for my sister who is haunted and lies awake at night thinking of her sweet dog she had to have euthanized due to suffering from cancer, and my dearest friend Sandra, who suffers silently every day, feeling alone and frightened as she tries to understand why she lost all her remaining family so suddenly at the start of this year. I honestly don't know how she finds the strength to post those beautiful compassionate posts when her own heart is so sick with grief.

So to all who have suffered tragedy, hardship and loss, whether it be a month ago, a year ago, or longer, I give a moment of silence and a prayer for healing. God bless.
