What an honor it is to be the first to congratulate our very own Tasha as DOTD!!! I hardly EVER check out the dog of the day, but when I got to the pet of the day home page tonight, I recognized Tasha's little icon pic in the DOTD link right away! Of course I had to run here to congratulate her!

I knew that sweet face right away. What a great way to start out my day. As soon as I saw you Tasha I had an instant smile. I was dreading getting up so early to go to work but as soon as I saw you that wiped it all away. Tasha, you are such a pretty girl with such expressive eyes. I always love seeing you. I was so glad that we got an extra bonus of seeing you in action. Nothing like a great picture of you running. Poetry in motion is what I always say. You always look so happy when I see you like that. I'm so happy that you are our very own Dog Of The Day!

Same here, I sat down to check POTD and I saw Tasha's face in the little icon. I skipped reading the POTD and right away clicked to see Tasha.

Every day I post to the DOTD, and this morning as I sit here gazing at that beautiful, most beloved little face, my own, I am speechless. Oh yes, Mommy is teary-eyed. Daddy was quite proud too when I showed him, he kept saying "Look at that face, look at that cute little girl." He called her and proceeded to tell her she was Dog of the Day :). All she knew was that both her people were very happy and she was in the center of it all, and she sat and basked in the coos and hugs and scratchies of her people, wagging happily. It goes without saying there will be lots of treats and cuddles and much happy celebrating with brother Tommy. Congratulations baby girl, today's your day to shine as our DOG OF THE DAY!! Love you, sweetheart.
