Cat In Heat

Can anyone tell me how long a cat stays in heat?
This is in sane. I usually get my strays fixed, but this one didnt get there fast enough:confused:

I believe the older they are the longer they are in heat. My female only goes for about 5 days and she is done for about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks.

Some vets don't have any problems spaying cats while they're in heat. It's a bit riskier as there's more of a chance of bleeding, but I've done it with no problems whatsoever. Sure beats that infernal catterwhalling all day & night! :rolleyes: :eek: ;) A cat can go in and out of heat non-stop until spayed, or mated with. :eek: I'd call vets and see what they say.
