I just read on the news that they have arrested the BTK killer. I have been following this story for the last few months, and am glad to hear the news, especially for the families of the victims. I will be interested in hearing the followups in the next few days. How are they sure that this is the guy? Will he plead guilty? Will he reveal why he kept silence for 25 years?
If this is indeed their guy, I hope that he gets the maximum sentence ever. He certainly deserves everything coming to him for the way he manipulated the police, the media, the victims, and families of victims. I hope that starting tonight, people around the area will be able to sleep better at night.

I must have been hiding under a rock because I have heard nothing about it at all. At least they caught the sick SOB! I think they should let the relatives of all the victims have him alone for a while.

Not much hope for him to be on death row.As the murders they have linked him with so far , were commited before the death penalty was reactivated. This according to a news report I heard.
But who knows what jailhouse justice he could receive.

It's about time! I just heard on the news tonight that his sister lives in Redford, Michigan!! Poor girl.
Corinna,
Because the murders were committed BEFORE they implemented the death penalty in that state, he'll get life in prison without parole. At least that's what they said on the news the day they announced they caught him. That sucks, especially for the victim's families. But, the laws have ALWAYS been made to protect the criminals.

The laws are there to protect the innocent, and the members of soceity.
Better a guilty man go free then to jail an innocent one (or something like that).

Johanna,
Criminals in prison are treated better than some of the law abiding tax paying citizens.
Think about it. 3 square meals a day, a roof over their head, access to law libraries, free medical benefits, paid education. And all paid by LAW ABIDING citizens U.S. tax dollars. THAT makes me sick!!
