If you can post the picture, I will try to resize it, if not me, someone else may...

Well,

This contraption I am on is my husband's MAC, I have little or no computer knowledge, but here's how I get the pictures on it.

Select your photos (I edit mine in Photoshop)
Open a free account on photobucket.com
Add them to photobucket, then highlight the bottom line (the one with the [IMG]) Copy and paste to Pet Talk post or
(If I want to post a lot of pictures, I go to TextEdit and write it all out like a little letter, adding in the lines I copied from photobucket where I want the pictures)

Then I copy and paste the whole letter into the post at Pet Talk.

I hope this helps.

P.S. I always size my photos to 3 inches, most of the time they are a good size, but sometimes they are really big for some reason. (no time to figure out why)

I don't know it makes a difference if you have a mac or not. The pic needs to me in jpg or gif format for an avatar doesn't it? I know macs can open jpgs and gifs because that is what 99% of websites use.

With your digital camera you should have gotten some sort of program to work with the photos. Take the photo as normal, then when it's on the computer open the photo working program and there should be an option in there to resize the photo. You can probably also alter the pic like correct red eye, adjust coloring, etc. The program won't be as extensive as Photoshop or anything like that, but it should have the basic options. I'm almost positive all macs come with a photo program....at least I know my brother's did.

If you don't have a photo program, you need to get one. Photoshop is a very popular one and I'm sure they make a mac version of it.

Good luck!
