Everyone is still getting to know each other, he didn't make friends with Sierra right off the bat (he tried to mount her.. and she does NOT go for that!!!)

But he's already had a bath, and he is every bit the terrier!! GO GO GO GO GO!!! LOL!

He needs to see a vet ASAP!!! Oh you should see how raw his skin is!! He has no fur on his ears, and the insides are all crusty, his toes look horrible!!! No fur around his eyes, and his eyes are all goopy and runny too!! The insides of his legs are raw and red too!
I'm going to see if I can get him to the rescue tomorrow night!

Here he is!

Thats all I have for now, I have to keep an eye on him now, my pups are outside and he's sniffing all around the house and I have to watch him (he likes to mark EVERYTHING!!!)

I'll check back in later!!!

He's adorable. I hope that skin problem is something quick and easy to treat. It's gotta hurt!

He's a cutie.:) Kind of pitiful looking right now, but I hope
the Vet can help get his skin problems under control. I'm so
glad he's with someone who won't ignore him anymore.

Oh Angie, I'm so glad you saved this poor little thing. He is a cute little thing. Looks like with some care he will be a gorgeous little Toy Fox and make someone a great doggie. I just can't express how glad I am that you are helping him. Great job, Angie!!!

Poor guy. :( :( :( I would nearly guarantee that he has some sort of allergy, either grass or food related. :( How could anyone just let him suffer like that? I'm sitting here crying at how miserable he must feel, and there's no mommy to love on him and make him feel better.

Gah, I can't stop crying. :(

Angie, If you have any Bendryl (regular kind - either capsules or pills, 25 mg) give him one in some peanut butter and it may bring him some relief.

He looks to be around 10lbs and so is Chester. Chester's vet said he can have one 25 mg Benadryl (which is the usual dosage that they come in) twice a day for itching. Stimpy needs some prednisone for some quick relief, but I'm sure you don't have that.

I'm still crying. Poor Stimpy. :(

I swear, I just freakin' hate the human race.

Of course, I want him. :(

Poor thing.
He will feel much better once the vet gives you
something for his skin.
Such a cutie pie.

Poor little baby Stimpy. Must be horribly uncomfortable to itch like that!

Not to make you nervous, but I hope that isn't mange. Did the people tell you how long he's had that problem?

Thanks for taking care of the little guy!

I would say that Stimpy will be just fine with all the TLC that you and Sierra will give him. :)

They said it comes and goes, he's been a little itchy since they got him.

I thought about Mange also, Sierra came to me with it, and we don't want that again!! Thanks!

Those Terriers are something else. I can't believe he tried to mount Sierra! I feel so sorry for him. He must be miserable. He'll be much better off away from those people who obviously didn't take good care of him at all. Glad you're helping him.

What a cute guy!! So glad he will get the love and attention he deserves!

Cincy has allergies and scraches, but never that bad!! (Of course she is on shots, and gets prednisone).

Some lookin' after and some TLC should have the cute little guy perfect in no time. Good for you for taking care of him. You may want to let him know that he's not very big and it may not be terribly prudent to mount dogs that much bigger!

what a cutie! but YIKES Id bet for sure hes suffering from allergies!! I work for my dad whos a veterinary dermatologist. Rat terriers are one of the breeds we see often for allergies. Believe it or not we see dogs much worse than this all the time. it is so sad, but we always turn them around. most of the time it isnt from the owners being neglectful, but simply not knowing what to do, and/or regular vets not knowing what to do. Id recommend getting him to a dermatologist if possible a.s.a.p. they will be able to get to the root of the problem and identify exactly what is causing the itching right away and it will save a lot of time and money going back to a regular vet all the time (trust me we here it all the time from clients!) Allergies can be complex to treat and are often difficult to get 100% under control, but a dermatologist will be able to guide you on the most succesful treatment path. Good luck with him!!!
