Just looking at your picture it's hard to believe that you were returned to the OSPCA twice! Obviously those people didn't take the time to get to know and love you. Hooray for Brandy and her wonderful human & feline family!!
As "human parents" of a dog rescued from a shelter, we know only too well what it's like to care for a dog with separation anxiety. Although our girl's "SA" isn't severe, she has never been "alone" the 2 &1/2 years since joining our family. She goes were we go, or one of us stays home w/her or on rare occassions, we hire a sitter.
It takes A LOT of care and compassion to help pets with this "affliction"--I commend her people for giving her what she needs.

Dearest Brandy, what a graceful and beautiful girl you are, a very pretty mix! Your family has given you such patience and love to help you overcome so many fears and to learn what love, laughter, and fun is all about! I am so very glad you recovered so miraculously from being hit by that van, I shudder to think of how it could have turned out :(. I do know that hound heritage of yours gives you the urge to roam, but do stay close to your people Brandy, they love you and would be devastated if anything were to happen to you.

We have all been moved to tears after reading the inpirational "stories" behind each and every one of today's extra special, most courageous and deserving honorees...Dog, Cat and Pet!!! And "behind" each and every honoree, stands a family totally devoted, unconditinally, to the health, happiness and well being of their amazing companions! Bravo to you, families!

Brandy, beautiful girl, you have had to face so many daunting challenges in you young life, abandonment and surrender, circumstances that sadly often result in the overwhelming fears and insecurities that so often are part and parcel of the pound pup personality:( Not every adopter, as well meaning as they may be, is able or willing to make the commtiment to a dog with special needs. But every once in a while that EXTRA special family or human comes along, totally devoted to making it work and you precious Brandy, were so blessed!:) And how you have rewarded them their commitment with your love and companionship! I have no doubt there was a higher force at work that fateful day at the shelter!:) Many thanks to your family for giving you, such a precious soul, a second chance, a paw up in life...the opportunity to shine, shine, shine!!!:) Each and every life is precious and worth saving and you dear Brandy, are living proof of that! Oh Brandy, You look like such a beautiful girl and I am sure your family is blessed to have you around. You are certainly a very interesting (and pretty) mixed breed! You sound like you had a very turbulent start to life but I know you relalize how special your family is to you. With out your family who knows what would of happened to you, they certianly helped straighten out your life. It must of been very nerve racking for you when you were timid around all of those noises, life must of been hard so I know you are appreciate your families effort to help guide you.

My heart sank as I read your story about being hit by the car but I was instantly uplifted once I read on and realzied that once again, your family came to the rescue and was there for you when you needed it the most, after all, thats what family is for isnt it?!! I hope you continue to have a painless, and fast road to recovery. I know you are getting close to being 100% better however I cant help but worry that you are still in pain :p I rest assured that your family loves you and wants nothing but the best for you though.

Congratulations on being the very very very special dog of the day. I know that each day brings, hardships, suprises, and plenty of hugs but after reading your write up I know that your family wll be with your through thick and thin.

Thanks to Brandy's family for posting the pics of her, Kenzie, and Cleo. What a gorgeous pet family you have!!! They are all sooooo beautiful.
