Peej will sit and stare at me...usually with a toy in his mouth. If that doesn't work, he'll keep trying to give me his paw. I can always sense when he's looking at me. It's like he burns a hole through me. :D

Bailey is a little more subtle. She will lay across the room and start growling very softly. If that doesn't work she'll start to cry and wag her tail. If that doesn't work, she'll bark at me until I talk to her. Then she gets happy and runs around.

What do your dogs do to get your attention?

Tango stares for a long time and then makes a very quiet barking noise or sometimes she just drops a ball in their lap lol. Echo comes up and nudges her head under someone's are or hand and then licks them a little. Tia sits staring at you then she wags her tail and makes a whining/barking noise.

Harley does this thing where he sits on my lap and paws at me. Sylvia must have noticed this because now she does it for everything! :)

Diamond paws at us to get our attention. Jada will run at you and "bonk" you right in the face with her nose.
I have been woken up many a morning with Jada bonking me right in the eye with her nose. One of these days she just might put my eye out.:p Lol. Btw is "bonk" even a word?

Nala will come and plop her big head on me.. normally my arm or leg, and DROOL.

Simba will run up and whine, and then run back to whatever he wants (go outside, eat, water, ect..)

Kiara generall brings me a ball and nudges it into me whenever she wants to play. To go outside, her and Nala both run through the verticle blinds like CRAZY.

Depends.

To wake me up in the morning, Samantha will put her front paws on the bed and paw me with one of them.

If I'm on the computer, she will come up and nudge at either my back/butt or hit my elbow.

If I'm on the phone, she'll come up and stick her nose right by my <unmentionables>.

If she wants to go outside and I'm on the couch watching TV, she stands in front of me, does a low boof and stares until I ask her if she wants to go out.

Jenny comes up and nudges me and puts her paw on my leg until she gets petted and she will give me a few kisses. Buster comes up to me and kisses me with his nose. Ginger doesn't come to get attention(she is prissy lol) Rocky just stands and stares at me until I pet him :p

Tasha will stare and whine and if that doesn't work she will come lay her head in my lap or on my leg. Tommy will lay down with a big thump nearby and yawn loudly and sigh and moan :p. Sometimes he'll rest his head on my leg as well. That used to always work and I couldn't resist petting them then, but I refrain now until they lay down and behave so that they don't get too manipulative for attention :p. Once they give up and lay down a few moments I call them to me and give them lots of cuddles. :) I can pretty much tell when they are wanting attention versus when they are needing to go out.

When Fritz wants attention,he'll either paw at you or growl. If that doesn't work he will sit up and beg with paws crossed.

As a greeting thing from coming in from outside,, Kirby will run up to me,, and lay down with his belly on the floor and bark at me. LOL

if he wants extra attention,, he will jump up in the chair or couch next to me,, and flop his head on my lap or bark at me sometimes both. :)

Chester sits on my lap and "throws" his head against me. It can get painful when he's feeling persistant.

Millie whines, and Cinny really doesn't do anything.

Muffin paws you, sometimes it hurts. lol.

Zeus sits, stares at you, wags his tail, and whines.

Mackenzie comes, plops her head in your lap, and wags her tail. Sometimes, if you're sitting at the couch, she will put her front two paws at the edge of the couch.

Elvis will throw balls at me , and dive into my lap. That boy is not subtle at all ;).

Clover does the "Stare" and then gently barks, and then the tail starts to wag if i still dont see what she wants. It is very cute.

When Timber wants attention, she lets you know it! She has the most horrible high pitched bark. People often tell me that it gives them a similar reaction that scratching on a chalk board would. And she's LOUD. If she's calmed down and wants my attention, she will paw at me. Dogs scratching me with their paws is one of my pet peeves. She knows better but she does it anyway.

Depends on what she is trying to tell me...if she needs to go potty she jumps into my lap and kisses me in the face...if she wants food/water she sits and stares at me..if she wants to play she grabs a toy and rubs it on my leg..but she had definate ways of communicating

Chica chews everything of mine in sight. She likes my rugs in the bathroom. I tell her NO! She runs away. Chihuahua's are fast dogs!! I have thrown out 3 rugs already. She only does this when I am on the computer. That is why she does it. I am not paying full attention to her when I am on the computer!:(

Senorita will sit very close to you and just stare at you for as long as it takes for you to acknowledge her, if that doesnt work then she will start doing a low growl at you. Face will nudge your hand very hard and do a playful but demanding bark. But they dont have to do that much , because i am always overloading them with attention.:D

Taffy will ither sit infront of you and bark and make really funny noises and just stare at you...or she will rub against your feet like a cat LOL.. its quite funny..she does it over, and over intill she has your FULL attention!

Honey will constantly nudge, lick, and give you her paw intill she has your attention lol.. most of the time she moochies for food *nawtee dog*

Sadie will sit in front of you and makea noise that is somewhere between a whine and a grunt. She also will try putting her paw on you, or her final resort is to climb on you.

Cincy will stand and put her head on either your leg or the arm of your chair, stare at you and wag her tail. She last resort is to jump on you.

Spot will sit in front, and is learning Sadie's noises

Star stares. For as long as it takes. If she wants to play she'll bring a toy over and give it to me- she loves to fetch. Sometimes she woo-woos.
Sherman will come over and paw you. When we first got him, he did it really hard and it HURT! I've been trying to get him to shake instead, and he's gentler about it now. He'll also stand up on his hind legs right in front of me (really cute!) He does that husky talky-whiney thing, too.

Oggy will start with a stare, then move on with a whine, finally will put his paw on you or his head on your lap, at this point you are pretty well powerless not to do what he wants. Flute does this growly wooo thing that we call a "grumpy bumpy bear" and shakes her butt. We she does this she needs luvin' immeadiately.

This is how Buddy does it (that's his head on my knee)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v633/schteve_d/2005_0127Image0018.jpg

But it's not just on my knee, he will rest his head on the couch and look at me, on the coffee table, and if I'm in the computer room his head rests on the garbage can!! I always ask him if his HUGE brain is just getting too heavy for him!:D

Love that picture, Steve!

Katie will stand and stare at me. Sometimes to draw more attention she will woo at me. Sometimes she will start nipping at my arms. Tori does her husky cry and pulls at my clothes and nips my arms. I think she learned the nipping thing from Katie. It can really hurt sometimes!!

Awww. Everyone's dogs sound so cute. :) I bet they don't have to try too hard for attention. :D

Sequoia has this supersonic brain piercing whine that she uses quite effectively. Sometimes it has this pathetic little quivering to it...I just roll my eyes at the drama queen on that one. She will also woooo while standing right in front of the TV.

Soft whining. (It drives me nuts! ) Other tactics include what we call the "Tiny Puppy" act--he curls up in fetal position and runs his paws along his snout. He also throws his head against me, as someone described above. Let's see, what else...really dramatic yawns, jumping up...that might be it.
