Baron, you are one handsome GSD! I'm sure you are very friendly, it's a shame if some people are afraid of you. Two of my brothers have GSDs and one of them is named Baron! Congratulations on being DOTD! I hope you enjoy your day! :D

It's good to hear that you are putting people fear of your breed aside and letting them get to know the sweet and lovable dogs GSD's can be.

Mew, noble Baron. My KatMa loves and adores GSDs. In the early 1990's she and Paw-Paw [this was before I was born!] were in Saratoga Springs, NY for the wonderful August Thoroughbred races. In the motel where they were staying there were lots of beautiful show dogs with their human contingent because a dog show was being held at Balston Spa.

KatMa met the most precious GSD, a 6-month female named "Yours Truly" and immediately feel in love with her. It was Yours Truly's first showing. KatMa never had seen show dogs and decided to attend and see Yours Truly who won first prize in the two categories where she had been entered! By the end of the week KatMa was madly in love with Yours Truly. My KatMa will never forget the playful puppy who, the moment she entered the ring, turned from playful puppy into the most regal, magnificent and beautiful GSD.

You remind my KatMa of Yours Truly. It is, mew, just so awesome what an impression animals leave in the hearts of humans. Purrr, even I, Sasha the Queen Calico who is afraid of dogs, can see your charm!

Oh Baron, you are absolutely magnificent! What a most HANDSOME and sweet German shepherd dog you are. Baron, you know people say a lot of things, and a great many of those things are simply not true, especially when it comes to prejudiced statements such as the one about "mean" German shepherds. It's all about how you are raised and loved isn't it? I know if I saw you, I'd be first in line to get to pet you and praise your beauty. What a touching story of how calm and gentle you were when the group of children wanted to pet you. Perhaps that day you helped dispell for them some of the myths they might have heard about GSDs.
