This is the question my brother-in-law is asking. He and my sister are visiting and we got him some fresh sardines (yuke!) yesterday at a Farmers' market. He decided to share with the E's. He put a fish head (eeeewwww!) on their serving mat.

They said..."how interesting." :p

They wouldn't touch it. They ate their kibbles with the fish sitting next to the bowl.

My bil says they aren't real cats.....

(Although later after it was cooked they each eagerly had some....)

What does he think we are??? Peasants????

Hmmm...so they're fish lovers, just not sushi lovers.....or.....I'm not really up on sardines....are raw sardines considered sushi?

Eeewwww!!! :D

Does your brother-in-law not know that the E's are accustomed to a much more sophisticated cuisine than some raw scraps???!!

Silly BIL, every cat knows, you don't eat the head if you could
have the whole, plump sardine body.:D I assume he served
crackers on the side. No? Silly man.:D

:D :D :D OMG, that's just too funny. Who wants to eat something that's staring back at you? EWWWWWW!!!
I like the way the two statue kitties are purrrrched in purrrfect harmony. :D

That reminds me of a story from back in the mid 80's. I was in a Pipe Band and we were out of town for a parade. After the parade we went to the pub and well....we drank a little too much. The next morning before our drive home the whole band went to a restaurant for breakfast and one of the guys ordered kippers and eggs.

I was not "feeling so great" so went to the washroom and when I came back the fish heads were on my plate. I immediately headed for the washroom again.

I am LMAO at these posts!!! On New Year's Eve I bought some raw shrimp to cook up for shrimp cocktail. Before I cooked it, I put some down on the floor. They just looked at me like, "You expect us to EAT that stuff???? After I cooked it, they were IN MY FACE!!!

But of course they didn't eat it... they didn't want him to know they were pleased with his offering!

From South Louisiana, How about crawfish? HMM HMM Good!
Mine have been known to do their own crawfishing in some wet areas of our property. They haven't figured out how to eat them tho, I guess the claws have something to do with it!

Fish heads
OMG, those are stricktly forbidden here...(;) )
I agree with both E's, a sophisticated cat at least expects the fish to be baked, and served on a nice bed of yummie sauce!!
