First of all I want to apologize to everybody for not replying more. My current class is really a bear and takes up most of my time. Just ask Terry who wasn't happy that I had to spend his birthday doing homework. It wasn't too bad though, because I did take some time off to eat cake with him. ;)

But last Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day around here. It got up to 60 degrees! I think we set a record. It was 100 degrees in our backyard (sun beats in on the thermostat) so I decided to open the door so the snots could get some sniffs of the first summer breezes. This was the first time Jack got to smell the backyard instead of just looking at it, so I was curious to see how he would react. Just as I expected, he loved it!

Hmmm...this smells different.

Wait, what's over there?

Then Peanut takes her place at the door.

Then Jack wants more but Peanut's not quite ready to move.

No, I'm not moving! You're a brat and I get to sniff for awhile!

I also got some great videos. In this first one, when you see Jack's butt and my finger, I was scratching the door trying to get him to come back, got Peanut instead. :D

And here is Peanut not willing to move and let Jack have a sniff or two. :D

And finally, this is priceless. Notice how Jack "cops a sniff" again. He pretends like he's looking over to the side, but can't help take advantage of the close quarters and the fact that Peanut is looking the other way. :D

:D :D Gee, for a minute there when I heard "Hi Sweetie" I thought you were talking to me....... :(

So nice that your weather was warm. I'm sure in time CJ will be bouncing around the back yard.

edit: I guess you were posting the same time as me....must go back and view other two..

Notice how Jack "cops a sniff" again
Hey Peanut, what's that over there.....sniff sniff.....smart kitty is that CJ! Great videos Debbie; a nice way to end off a stressful day. Thanks. I'm leaving for home now.

Ooh, I noticed Peanut getting a little CJ sniff in there, too. So nice to see them side by side, if only momentarily. I looooved watching Miss Peanut really drinking in all the smells - she was sniffing for all she was worth!!!!:D Beautiful babies, that's for sure.

I've been meaning to ask you forever, Debbie - What are you studying? Do you take night classes or correspondence courses, or what? Sounds like you've really got a lot on your plate. Anyway, I've been wondering so hope you don't mind that I asked. :)

Those pictures and videos were so much fun:) It is so cute to watch each of them sniff, sniff, sniffing for all they are worth:D It also appears that they are getting along quite well - to be able to (sorta) share the door for some sniffs:D ;) :p

How CUTE!!! I loved all the pictures and the video's are great! I didn't see any hissing so things are getting better?

I'm so in love with CJ's nose! I could plant a great big huge kiss right on his orange spot!!:D :D :D

Peanut you are so BEAUTIFUL!! I know your space has been invaded but you have to admit that he is cute. I did notice that it didn't seem to cause you any great pain to share the door with CJ for a few seconds anyway!!;) :D :D :D

CJ, I think you and Eddie need to talk and see if you two can come up with a plan to win over these Queens.;)

TOOOO SWEET!! I loved the videos of Peanut & Cracker Jack huffing in all that fresh air. :D :D Those little pink noses looked like they were going a mile a minute! Looks like they're finally hitting it off...or at least the Princess Peanut is more accepting? :D :p

100 degrees in your backyard? What's July bring to the thermostadt? :D

The thermometer only goes to 120 and it's always "off the charts" but only when the sun is beating on it. When it's in the shade it's not so bad. :D

Wonder if he has figured out that he has it made now?

Oh yes, he has made himself right to home and expects to be treated like a king. :D

I've been meaning to ask you forever, Debbie - What are you studying? IT (Information Technology....i.e. computer and internet stuff). I'm taking classes online through DeVry University. And if you think taking classes online sounds easier than the traditional way of going to class.....well....just take a few...

(and Peanut is awake!)

Oops, have I been posting too many pictures of her sleeping lately? :o

But then I think Miss Peanut is alot nicer than HH!

HH needs to give Miss Peanut a few more swatting lessons. I keep telling her to just swat him one and he'll leave her alone, but she'd rather do the old hiss-run-hide routine.

or at least the Princess Peanut is more accepting?

Things are good. The only time there is a fuss is when CJ is feeling rambunctious and attacks her. She hisses, we yell, he runs and hides - you think he'd get the picture that he shouldn't be doing that. I was not happy the other day. Peanut and I were coming down the steps with her in front of me. At the bottom, she took a left to head for the bedroom, but then paused, so I paused behind her. Evidently CJ was flying down the stairs after us and couldn't stop in time when we paused, so he leapt off the third last step and landed right on Peanut's back! Neither Peanut nor I knew he was coming so he scared the bejezes out of both of us! Peanut took off like a dirty shirt to the bedroom, Jack took off under the dining room table and I stood there like "What in the world is going on here?" I really don't think he did it on purpose, he just couldn't stop himself, and I was blocking the path that he normally would have taken when he leaps off the third last stair - which is a regular occurance when he is feeling rambunctious. It's too funny to see him flying through the air then go tearing through the living room. :D
