White Geman shepards

Hi for all my life i have a a beautiful female white german shepard called elly and i was just wondering if anyone else has one here

elly recently had a litter and we kept a female called lottie

i was just wondering please write back

but shes basically a german shepard just much rarer and white
i dont think there any different otherwise

Welcome! I don't have a pure bred, but do have a white shep mix. You should see his face in my sig.

They are a wonderful dog, my favorite color for a shep!

I had a white German shepherd named Polar. Unfortunatly due to eating puppy food while he was a puppy, his leg bones grew too fast and the rest of his body couldn't keep up. He had to be put to sleep. :(

Actually white GSDs are very common. They appear in 60% of litters and are the second most common colour of German shepherd.

What was your basis for breeding?

i kniw ther common to be born nowadays but they used to kill them because german shepards used to be used as sheep dogs and white gs are going to look like sheep so they just killed them

Welcome to Pet Talk. My Duke is part white GS. His Mother was a Silver and Black GS, his dad was basically a Tan GS and his grand father was a white GS. Here's a photo of him.

While my mom was growing up her mother had white gsds..I will have to scan some pics they aren't rare really, in my opinion ;). Welcome to PT! :)

My RB German shepherd dog, Leather, had a white mother. She was white with a black stripe down her back. Her name was Ice. Her father was a dark saddle back, named Thor. He was a conformation champion.

I did a search on google and it comes up with 10 - 12 years for german shepherds but one of my friends had his german shepherd for more than 15 years.

I just read your first post again and I could hardly believe what I read. Elly recently had a litter when she is 12 already????

Omg, that's horrible. She could have very easily died. I'm surprised she didn't. A dog should never have a litter when they are over six years. I'd watch that puppy's health carefully. If Elly had her when she was 12, I assume that puppy's health will suffer for it.

sorry she had lottie when she was 9


lottie's 2 now i think elly had a litter 6

but when elly was 6 she had a litter of 10 but unfortunelty 1 died
