My CD Burner has just stopped working all of a sudden.
(I'm on hold now with dell  )
Whenever I go to burn a CD, it says that there is no CD in the drive.
Any ideas?
It was working fine . . . we've only had it since November!
Please help if possible . . . let's see if you all can help me before I can get help on the phone!

I've had that problem before...(But I can't remember how we fixed it)
If you put a regular music cd in the drive, does it recognize it?

Nope.
Just got off with Dell Tech Support . . . I have to say I'm impressed!
They figure that it's a drive malfunction . . . so they're sending out a Tech to replace our CD burner . . . FOR FREE . . . which they should considering we've only had this piece of work for 3 months. Anyway, they're also replacing our monitor power cable (that has a short in it).
I can't believe I am finally off the phone!!!
Oh yeah, funny story . . . after we decided the problem and he was going to put the work order in, I ACCIDENTLY disconnected our call! I about cried! 2 seconds later, he called me back!!! I was shocked!
I've always heard that Dell Customer Support is horrible, but I have to say that I'm impressed. :)
