Hi everyone, I did some searches on this and came up with nothing. She acted like she had something stuck in her throat and was trying to eat anything stringy (carpet, MY HAIR, etc.). I plan on calling my vet tomorrow, but has anyone ever heard of this?? Or know what might be going on?
thanks!!!!!

I own a JRT, they will get into all sorts of things, the best thing to do is call your vet! But I wouldn't be all too concerned! Lexi eats things all the time, some of those include:

-CDs
-Carpet
-Drywall
-Toys
-ME
-Her bed
-My bed
-Blankets
-Rabbit poopoo:D:rolleyes:
-Slippers
-A WHOLE LOT MORE

That doesn't mean your will turn out liek that, LOL!

P.S. Welcome to Pet Talk! You'Re gonna have an awesome time here and meet lots of new people, whats your dogs name
:D

Well, the JRT Ally, is about 5 years old, and it seemed more like a medical thing, than a behavior thing. She is still a crazy dog, but she has really settled down over the last couple of years and doesn't really chew on things she shouldn't anymore, so it was kind of strange. We feed good quality dog food, but I was wondering if it was some kind of vitamin deficiency. I'll let you know if it turns out to be something strange!!!
PS I also have 2 other dogs, a boxer (Girdie) and a Border collie (Bud). 3 cats, Frank, Floyd and Clyde, and 3 fish tanks.... We have a full house needless to say!
Thanks:)

Wow! Well I think that JRs will be doing that for the rest of their lives! I don't really know if it would be a medical condition! You are definetly gonna have to put some pictures up!:D
