Hummm...Are you going to clip the wiry coat or strip it? People who hand strip their coats are amazing and patient. I bow down to them.

I've heard GREYT things about Laube (SP?). I honestly would get in touch with a Miniature Schnauzer breeder/groomer and ask what they would use.

I own a grooming business out of my home, I have always used Oster A5 clippers. They work wonders with most breeds, and come with a pretty good warranty.
You can get most of your grooming supplies from this site:

I would be in touch with a local groomer and see if maybe they can give you some grooming tips! :)

Good luck!

hi sunkissed goldens and giselle,
in where i am staying, owners grooming pets on their own is not very common, so ,, there are not many grooming products or clipper sets on sale. anyway, i'll be sure to check out the brands that you have suggested. thanks a lot.

I've used Andis clippers and they work well for me.

I use Wahl brand they make human ones to. I have used Oster also but if its just your dog they can be pricey. Wahl can be gotten at wally world for 30 bucks I got the clipper 4 blades and a video on how to use and groom common breeds.
