In 1991 I was 29 and back living with my parents while I went back to school for my bachelor's degree. Living at home wasn't the best, but it wasn't all that bad either....except for the fact that I also worked at McDonald's. Had to be there at 6:00 am and it was a 20 minute drive from home, which meant I had to leave the house by around 5:30 am which meant I had to get up around 4:00 am - every morning - OUCH! That's when I started sleeping with ear plugs because my younger brother was also living at home at the time. His bedroom was right across the hall from mine and he had a nice stereo and an even nicer big TV in his room. I had to be in bed by 8:00 pm if I wanted to be somewhat functional the next day and he was just getting home from work and relaxing in front of the TV at about that time.
Fortunately I gradeated in December of 1991 and by Feb of 1992 I had a job in Chicago so I was faaaar away from his TV, but then I had to sleep with earplugs because I lived right on a main street and the street noise kept me awake.
Now I find it impossible to fall asleep without earplugs, even when we're out in themiddle of the woods and it's dead silent....all thanks to my brother.
Oh, and don't get me started on what kind of work I did at McDonald's...
I'll take about 3 of those anniversary punch thingys. Sounds kind of sickly sweetly good. :D

Happy Thursday! '91 was NOT a good year for me so I choose not to remember it.
I'm going to grab a Spanish Coffee to go. Work is still busy and keeping me away during the day but I'll try to check in when I can.
Have fun everyone.
Well, I was going to ask for some of that sickly sweet punch until I saw Mario - dripping wet! and no diaper.
1991? You know, I don't have a clue what I was going that year.
I know I made it through, so couldn't have been that bad:D
Could I please have a large (tall) Myers Rum and coke with a slice of lime?

And Richard can't be Doc because I want to be Doc! When we were kids my best friend and I would play Star Trek. She always got to be Spock and I had to be Bones (I was tall and skinny and all bones at the time, so I guess it was appropriate  ). So I have experience playing Docs. I'm not a real doctor, but I play one at Thursdays. :D

GOOD FRIDAY MORNING EVERYONE!! Rise and shine....time waits for no man or woman or monkey....:)
OK, the order of the day is Baileys. I've made a fresh batch and the coffee is on. Help yourself.
It's going to be a great day. The weather here is absolutely beautiful. I was speaking to a friend on the phone last night and she said that her daffodils have started to come up in the garden.... They usually don't start showing their face until March.
Laurie, hope your day is better. How about rustling up some of your famous crab cakes?
Hi Corinna. outspoken???

Ok I'm like so totally excited I got my nrw DSL cable .I love it Not more Dial-up Yahooooooooooo.
Hi y'all! Sorry I am late. I went to a funeral this morning. But as I drove home, I wasn't sad. I felt as though I had missed out on meeting a wonderful man.
He was a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. I had never met him. He is the father of a co-worker.
The service was such a warm tribute to him and told all about who he was and what he cared about, you walked away liking him a lot.
He had a belief.............as funny as this may seem.........that if you spit in a dog's mouth - then that dog belonged to you. My friend had a dog.......and her Dad wanted that dog a whole bunch........so he spit in his mouth - and said, NOW HE IS MINE! That dog was devoted to her father.
Bailey's and crab cakes - and a fire in the fireplace? Sounds just perfect - because it is raining like crazy here again in SUNNY
California.

Yes. About 11 years ago now my mother had _____bypass surgery (whatever the word is for 5 goes in the ___ ). Afterwards she got a bad cough - not a cold just a cough - which was hell on her because she was still healing from the surgery (not really sure, but I believe they have to cut through the bone, otherwise how do they get to the heart?) Anyway, she tried everything to stop the cough and the only thing that worked was whiskey. Just a shot once or twice a day was enough she said.
And it must be noted that my mother is not a drinker. When she comes down to visit me, she might have a beer or a glass of wine or maybe one of those old fashioneds we had here a few weeks ago, but that's it. So I was quite surprised when I went to visit and saw the ol' whiskey bottle on the counter!
Shot of whiskey with a chaser of warm honey and you'll be all set. :D
Now....about those slushies...no road salt in mine please. :D;)
