That's what what they are now calling it.

Georgia is trying to pass a bill right now to ban pit bulls and other bullys and mixes thereof, or any dog with pit bull temperment or looks.

Virginia is now very close to passing it's bill --- all puppies must be spayed/neutered before they are sold (even ones sold as early as 6 weeks, which most vets wont even do). Even ones that are going out of state. Now I would think this was good if it didn't count reputable breeders. Dogs will now be available for significantly higher costs -- even in shelters. They are also planning on a dangerous breed legislation. They also just passed a bill making it illegal for dogs to catch hogs (which personally, I am happy about).

MS is also facing a dog breed legislation.

Look in our country!! Ontario is trying to pass a breed specific law right now. The dogs will have to be muzzled in public at all times. any dog can be seized by bylaw officers who will given the right to enter any home WITHOUT A WARRANT and sold to a vivisection lab or euthanised!! I think this is horrific and am fighting to stop it even all the way from China!

Punish the owner not the dog
and Punish the deed not the breed!

That law isn't just being passed -- it's alread ybeen passed. :( And Quebec has the same one. I hear that Manitoba is considering it right now, and BC already considered it and declined.

Nope, BC didn't pass it. I'm glad because I love living in BC and wouldn't want to be forced to move if they thought my catahoula looked too much like a pit bull.

This is not breed specific legislation it is discrimination. If you have a dog that even looks pitbull or rottie it is banned. What hapens to dogs with similar coloring?

Our state banned all BSL!!!! All dogs taken in by Animal Control have to be Microchipped.:D :D :D

Here is a "game" to see how easy it is to get a breed mixed up durring an attack and blame a "pit bull":

Sometimes I guess that we don't have many dog laws is a good thing. we are too busy worring about a bison hunt ,to worry about dog discrimnation.
