Dixie and Dusty picture. He gave her the gray!

I haven't posted an updated picture of both Dixie and Dusty since I've been back on Pet Talk. Here it is now. She is a little more gray than some of you remember her. Her high spirited son wears her out and gave it too her! They are inseperable though. ;)

I didn't get to see Dixie and Dusty before as I wasn't a member at the time, but so glad to see them now. They are gorgeous! I love their sweet golden faces. Goldens seem to gray earlier and more than some dogs don't they? Tommy is my first golden. I don't really see any signs yet (he's 4) but when I look closely I can see a couple flecks of whitish hair on his head/muzzle. They are so few and so small they don't show up on pictures. Thanks for posting these :)

Yes, unfortunately they do seem to gray faster and earlier than other breeds. Especially the darker Goldens. Dixie started to gray when she was around 4. She just turned 7 on January 11th. I call her my white faced sweetheart. Don't let that gray fool you though. She is very much still a pup at heart and full of energy! While Dusty gives her the gray, he also keeps her young at heart! :D
