Perhaps you should have named him, "Barometer." If everyone had a cat like this, all the weathermenandwomen would lose their jobs. My coffee was a little bitter this morning. I wish Sugar had been here - I would have dipped his tail into the drink, swizzled it around a bit and sweetened things up.

Maybe later I would have coughed up a hairball.

I know how it is when you lose a cat that you know can never be replaced and so you know you will not get another and then one day, a cat claims you and moves in and does not replace but creates a whole new spot of its own, right there in your heart, an irreplaceable place, one that belongs just to that cat and no other individual. It seems there are an abundance of such places in one small heart.

Sugar, you are soooo beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen a tabby cat with blue eyes like yours. How did such a tiny kitty end up on the street? Thank heaven you had that kitty instinct to knock on your mom's door. One of my cats puts his head on my shoulder when I hold him too; it's the sweetest feeling. Sugar, your mom loves you so much. I hope you have many more happy and healthy years together.
