I was reading this old thread....
http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44294&perpage=15&highlight=cat%20years&pagenumber=1
....to compare my newly written calculator to the one you had on your website.
I notice the website that made your calculator has gone down (at least two days ago)
So if you still want to link to a cat age calculator, I finally got around to writing mine in javascript (took me long enough)
http://www.piftails.com/calculatorcatage.html
I posted this instead of PM'ing in case any one else wanted to have a look, as always any comments or errors would be gratefully received.

Hmm... not W3C friendly. It works on Internet Explorer but not Netscape, Mozilla Firefox or Opera.

Thanks for telling me as I only have internet explorer myself. Interesting as Java script should work in all formats off to look at it again.

PIF, here is a short story on my Poppy. He was rescued from a laneway at the age of 7 weeks old. He was infested with fleas, anemic, had a slight URI and weighed only 1.5 pounds. Nursed him back to health, was suppose to find him a home, but you know how that worked out and now he is a healthy boy of 6 months and weighs in at 6.5 pounds.:)

Oh, thanks for letting me know... I didn't notice they took it down. :(
Yours looks great! But it's true, it's not working with Netscape (which I mostly use), but it worked fine with the Internet Explorer! (Another thing: the drop-downs of your link bar do not work with my Netscape either. They do with IE, but it's always the first character missing - Reads "ome", "orum" and so on. same is the with the links in the drop downs)
Luna is 36 and Lily 21! :D
OMG, Luna is almost as old as I am! LOL

Yes Randy told me, I only use Internet Explorer and never knew of potential problems with other web programmes.
So I have the happy task of rewriting my 57 web pages, which I will do time permitting :D
But I live and learn, so I'll let you know when the pages are fully compatible.

We had a family cat who born in our home and lived her entire life with us. She died five weeks before her twenty-first birthday which would have made her an equivalent of 101 years old. She was very nearsighted and a bit arthritic but she did catch a bird when she was 19. She sat in the yard as a mockingbird divebombed her repeatedly. On something like the sixth or seventh pass - the bird approached from behind and ruffled the fur on her head each time - she spun around and grabbed the very surprised bird. She was so fast! I still miss her 15 years after she died. She was a great cat.
