I just wanted to know what tricks your dogs can do. Also I would like to know if your dog is a treat trainer or a praise trained dog. If I can also get some advice on how to train her that would be great. I am waiting to get into the obediance classes. But I also want to work with her at home doing tricks I want to teach.
Gracie is learning as much as I can teach her. Gracie is more praised trained. Which is why I think she doesn't listen well. She doesn't under stand the concept of the treat training. Although I have been working with her on it.
So far she knows the following:
Sit
Stay
Lay (she gets sit and lay mixed at times)
Drop it (still working on)
Shutting doors (I have no idea how she learned that but she did)
Roll over (still working on.)
Up
Come (very selective, but knows it)
And last but not least Go (her release command)

This will seem really lame compared to what some dogs can do but here goes...
Peej and Bailey can:
*sit
*lay down
*give me their paw
*speak (bark)
*say "please" (growl)
*give a high five (but only if they're in the mood)
Now if I have a really, really good treat, they'll do all of these things at the same time! :D

I can never remember all the things Tango can do so I'll probably miss some while I'm making the list lol
Tango:
~sit
~stay
~down
~come
~back-up
~up
~speak
~crawl
~Bow
~Spin (turn left)
~round (turn right)
~Roll-over
~Bang (play dead)
~off
~light (turn the light switch on/off)
~five
~paw
~Get it (pick something up)
~hand (drop right in my hand)
~drop it
~Leave it
~Give it (bring anything to me)
I'm sure she know's more, I can't think of them now though.
Echo:
~Bang
~sit
~stay
~come
~down
~leave it
~drop it
She's not the easiest dog to train lol I'm still working on things with her.
Tia:
~Roll-over
~sit pretty
~sit
~down
~come
~stay
~leave it
~drop it
She also isn't easy to train...
All of my dogs know word commands aswell as hand signals for everything they know.
Mercedes

up

Lexi has done pet training and I give her a LITTLE treat less than a quarter...maybe a quarter! Lexi knows....
*Sit
*Down
*Gimme a paw(shake)
*Other paw(switches paws)
*Open it (opens doors)
*High five
*Up
*Jump
*Who's here
*Where's your tail
*Find me (I run and she finds me)
*Leave it
*Take it
*Easy (calms her down)
*Hold it (she'll hold a paw in place of where I put it)
*Stay
*Wait(I'll go to the other side of the room and call her)
*Come in
*Fetch
*Heel
*Quiet
*Wanna go outside
LOL! There's lots more...she only learned the basics at school! (Sit, stay, down, take it, leave it, wait-everything else she learned through me:D )
Hope this helps LOL!

I would really suggest doing clicker training! The first tricks that Jasper learned wasn't with clicker training, and now he learns them SO much faster and he loves to hear the "click"! I taught him "take a nap" in 15 minutes!
Jasper knows:
-Sit
-Down
-Stay
-Wave
-High five
-Paw/Shake
-Spin
-Touch
-Are you shy?
-Take a nap
-Leave it
-Off
-Don't look
Right now we're working on "Are you tired?" which is to yawn on command hehe, "Say sorry" and "Bow".

Gracie can:
sit
lay down
stay
come
go get ____ either ball or other toy...she knows the difference in her little hide a squirrels or ball..but any other toy she just gets what is handiest..
speak...she barks really low..one time for a treat
I think that is it..
oh, and "drop it"...when she has a toy in her mouth and we are going out side, I say drop it..and she does before she goes out the door.

Not a single thing! :o I have two of the most stubburn dogs. I have never dealt with pups like mine. Maybe its just me. I swear I try to work with them a little bit each day but I get nowhere.
Both of my girls do really well with off, leave it and drop it.
Katie can do all the basics, but only if I have a treat and only if she feels like it. About the only "trick" that she does is "high five".
Tori...HAH, that girl will barely sit! She can hardly hold still. Sometimes I seriously think she is not quite right in the head. :p If I have a treat she will sit but it is a very frustrated sit and she doesn't want to sit for long. Forget anything beyond sit.
Ever since Kay came to visit and Kiara, Roxey and Huney all did "speak" on command, I have been trying like crazy to teach both of my girls to "speak". I always find myself doing the barking and the girls looking at me like I'm crazy!....LOL
Oh well, I'm quite happy just laying around the house and playing with the girls. ;) :p

This could be quite long :o.
Sit - All
Stay - All
Drop (Lie down) - All, Pennys being a bit stubborn at times ;).
Stand - All
Come - All, Elvis and Theo being the most reliable (Boys eh)
Ready, Set, Go - Clover and Elvis. Theo is learning for Flyball.
Turn (Turn and face the oppersite direction) - C & E
Bang - Elvis and Theo has gone backwards with that one, so we are having a break from it.
Speak - C & E, Penny
Closer, bring object close and put into hand - Elvis :D.
Lie Down - C & E, it is a relaxed position.
Spin - C & E
Heel - All
Spin & Heel (At same time)- Clover
Over - C & E (Elvis will jump over anything)
Tunnel - Elvis (Getting ready for Agility)
Back - C & E
Wait (For recalls and when i want to release them from a distance) - C & E
I am sure there are more, i will add them as i think of them. Also my kids are trained with the Clicker, food rewards and lots of praise and play. elvis loves to play with a toy for his reward, and gets so happy when learning something new.

Wow, there's a lot of tricks posted. I think I need to get to work on teaching her some. I love working with her on new things although it does get a little frustraiting at times. All she wants to do is play all the time. Lol.
