:D I had no clue you had any birds! Amazing what you can learn when you start checking out some other parts of PT! lol I was really interested in getting a tiel, but the guy talked my mom and bro out of it when he said that they are mainly whistlers and we could get a baby keet to talk better than a tiel. I think a parakeet is a good way to start though. I've got my sights set on a quaker parrot next...then a macaw!!! :D hehe Your feathered babies look great! :D What does Mercedes think of your birds? Sahara thinks we brought her a new toy! We are def. keeping a close eye on the pups.

 That is not true. Male tiels have a MUCH greater chance of learning to talk than a parakeet. While parakeets can learn to talk, its not nearly as common as cockatiels. I know MANY cockatiels that have a pretty extensive vocabulary. I personally know more keets than tiels, but none of those parakeets talk, and most of the male cockatiels talk. I have never heart a parakeet talk before, and think it would be amazing to hear one speak. :D From what I have read and know, tiels have a MUCH greater chance in talking than parakeets do. They're also usually more interactive...they love people. They're very, very intelligent birds. Parakeets are a good start though. They're wonderful birds.
