Well, not many people seem to have parakeets according to my "Parakeet Thread" thread. (lol.) So I am making a "Bird Thread." You can post a picture of any type of bird you have: Cockatiels, Cockatoos, Macaws, Parakeets, Canaries, Doves, Love Birds, Finches, Conures, etc. I hope to have more pics from people because I love birds and I would like to see pics of birds from anyone who owns them!

Bennie is so adorable! I love how he's looking up into the sky or something. My birdies always do that!

It seems that alot of people would have parakeets. Parakeets seem like one of the most common pet birds! It looks like cockatiels are common on here.

yes she was neglected before we got her, she's doing better though, but the vet said that sometimes they pluck for so long that the feathers don't grow back.

This is my male Lutino cockatiel Cheeko.. he is almost 18 years old!!!! he has outlived two mates!!! His first mate was a female lutino tiel named Homer, she was 18 when she passed. Cheeko was very depressed so we got him a couple budge friends, he found them to be very annoying... then Cheeko was at another home for a while, then i got him back..(long story).. After getting Cheeko back I got him another mate, a male grey tiel named Chipper, chipper recently passed away, he was 20 years old.... poor cheeko.. he seems to be very happy alone though.. he hardy screams, as long as i leave the tv on for hiom during the day while i am at work he is fine...
anyways here are the pics of my darling cheeko boy. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v89/jynnellepets/347f871c.jpg

Hi Raven!
I'm one of the Pet Talkers who does own a parakeet.
I just don't have much free time to get online and check out Pet General very often, so I must have missed your parakeet thread.
Here is my parakeet T-bird.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/vtcat/tbdoor.jpg
It does seem like there are a lot more Cockatiel owners than Parakeet owners here on Pet Talk.
I do know that Primabella and Tweety Pie both have a pair of blue parakeets.
Have you posted photos of your birds, Raven?
I probably just missed them, so could you post them in this thread?
I also want to welcome you to Pet Talk, it's nice to see another Pet Talker from the northeast.
Do you live on the coast of Maine? I love Old Orchard Beach and Bar Harbor. They are both beautiful places.:)

T-Bird is so pretty! Wasn't he/she pet of the day once? T-Bird kind of looks like my other parakeet, Sky, but Sky is darker in color. They have the same face, though. lol. :) :) :)!

Cloudy is cute, is she really young?
She still has a lot of stripes on her forehead instead of it being all white like T-bird's.
Here is T-bird's Pet of the Day page.

She is now 3 1/2 years old. :)
