I'm just curious.
Right now i'm feeding Malachai a mixture of flake food and bloodworms. Bettas are carnivores so the flakes are basically wasted (but it's what they gave me with him) and turn the water pink.
I'm going to be looking for a good pellet food next time I go to the store, as well as the prices of live food.

right now I feed Harold betta biogold. I will have to try the bloodworms... I've heard that bettas love them.
-edit- I just fed Harold some bloodworms and he loved them!

I feed a mix of flakes, crumbles, bites, and brine shrimp :) he like the tropical bites best
depends my betta is in a community tank so he eats bloodworms, pellets and they get flake dunno if he eats it though.

I have some Tubifex Worm cubes that I had for my Oscars. Would those be okay for my betta?
*edit* Nevermind, the bottle says it's for all fish :)
I'll give him one and see if he likes them.

Sushi eats Tetra Min. I have some baby brine shrimp that I might try giving him, for awhile he didn't like it.

He kinda of ignored it.
It started falling apart and making the water all messy, so I took it out. I read that at first Bettas don't like new foods and stuff, so maybe i'll try later too. But I just cleaned his house so I didn't want it getting a messy. :p I'm going to cut the cube smaller too, so maybe it'd be more appealing to him?
I did buy some pellets and more bloodworms today and mixed them all into one. He REALLY likes that. :D
*edit* I've read a lot of things about bettas liking brine shrimp. Are these live or dried shrimp? I have some shrimp that I fed my Oscars as well.. Haven't tried to see if he likes them. They'd probably be too large for him.

brine shrimp usually come frozen, in cubes. You can find them in the freezer in the fish section of the pet store. :) I'm sure they also come dried.
Hey Kay, by the way, I love your new avatar :D ;)

Malachai is the same, Jynnelle. His water turns all pink because the flakes are red.
He loves his pellets now, and of course the blood worms, so I believe we'll stick with this. :D
