Onyx, all 19.5 pounds of him, is under the weather today. Never fails that the big, foofy cat gets sick, not the short haired ones!

My husband called me this morning to tell me that Onyx had the runs in a big way. This has happened to Onyx before, but never for any apparent reason. Hubby locked him up in the bathroom--easiest room to clean--when he left for work. I went home on my lunch break and cleaned him up the best I could. Thank goodness he seems to know that the clippers will make him feel better. Onyx is a Maine Coon mix--big, heavy boned and double coated. Loose stools are not fun when you are foof-ball!

My poor big sweetie! I'm almost glad I had to come back to work. Onyx has a tiny, kitten meow and listening to him behind the door would have driven me crazy all afternoon!

Aww....poor adorable Onyx. Being sick is no fun, and being confined to the bathroom makes it even less so.

Sure hope you feel better soon sweetie. :(

My ex gave Chuck a can of tuna once and he was sick like that. I had to bathe him almost every day because off all of the long hair. Poor Onyx! Chuck know just how you feel.

Once in a while he get all tangly back there and I have to creatively clip out the mats while trying not to bleed to death!

I hope Onyx gets to feeling better soon!!! If he doesn't get cleared up fairly soon, be sure he isn't getting dehydrated ... it can happen quickly! Good luck, and let us know how the big fluffy kitty is doing!!!;)

I would love to feed Nutro, but I have two that have major urinary tract issues so everyone is on the c/d prescription food. I used to feed Nutro before Pete got sick. I tried to feed them separately and had a kitty revolt so I talk to my vet and he said it was fine to feed them all the c/d.

Onyx seems better today. I fed him some pumpkin which will hopefully firm things up! I think I'll just keep his little butt fur trimmed from now on! It's not like he goes outside or is going in a cat show ever so who cares if he has a little haircut!
