Four years ago today, a delicate, little grey princess entered our home and took over our hearts!

Princess Ivy was born at our local shelter in December 2000. A year later she was returned by a very bitter young man. The couple who had adopted her had broken up and he didn't want her (*#^( cat anymore. He dumped Ivy's carrier on the counter, swore a few times and stormed back out!

I found her a few days later, just before Christmas. I was actually interested in another cat, but he had been adopted. So from the many in the shelter, I applied for Ivy. The shelter was closed between Christmas and New Year's. January 4 was the soonest I could pick her up!

She is truly a princess--Regal, sophisticated and fussy. She does nto associate with the other cats unless she has to--they are merely peasants, not royalty such as herself!

She is the cleanest cat ever. She likes to cuddle with her humans, but it does lead to her being covered in human germs. Removing those germs requires many hours of grooming daily.
She's our little princess and we are glad she graces our home with her little royal presence. Happy Gotcha Day Princess Ivy!:D
