Today, Luna and Lily finally got the kitties' room decorated. I've planned a long time ago to set up a big branch of a beech-tree (that crashed down during a storm last summer) as a cat tree, and finally I did today (with the help of my step-father).

Originally I had also planned to add a shelf as a platform for the kitties to sit on, but it's so incredibly hard to fix things at these clay walls, so I reconsidered.

This is the new cat-tree (does not look too impressive in the photos):

Here's Lily exploring the new toy:

I also placed a shelf on one of the walls and decorated the entire room with all the little gifts I got from the Pet Talkers and other cat friends when I was in hospital earlier this year:

An old wooden box which I use to store things is now covered with these fabrics:

And here's the view into the kitties' room from the door:

I know, the furniture is old and ugly, especially the cabinet, but it has to do for the time being...
Anyway, I'm glad I finally set up the tree and the decorations, I finally got the time!

Unfortunately, the rest of the room doesn't! ;)

Well, so far, they did not use the tree very often. Yesterday, Lily slipped and dangled in the air before she fell. Of course it's not a long way to fall, but you can tell she felt embarassed! :)

What a lovely kitty room. :D The new cat tree looks absolutely great! I'm glad to see Lily exploring so thoroughly. I hope her fall does not mean that she will be too embarrassed to go back up! :D

I love your blind with the stars on it. It looks really pretty.

and Lily looks quite satisfied with the tree and herself at the top of it! Great idea for a climber. You've given me some good ideas for redecorating"the boyz room".
Very cool!

What an awesome cat tree! I will be on the lookout for a nice big branch like that to make my own version of that cat tree.

LOL, that's much easier said than done! For a long time I was looking for such a branch, until the storm brought this one down last summer, close to my parents' home. And still, it's not 100% what I wanted. Strong branches in a proper shape are hard to find! Wish you luck! :)

I got that frame from catlover4ever, when I was in hospital this summer! Isn't it cute? :)

Oh Kirsten, that room is just awesome! I love everything about it and especially the cat tree! You are so creative about decorating - how I would love to be able to actually visit!!

I think it is very sweet that you used PT gifts as part of the decorating. It looks like you have saved your cards as well. I remember Meg working on that framed picture and sending me a picture of it to see if I thought it looked
"alright" and did I think you would mind using one of your photographs:p That part was funny because I was like what Meowmie would not love a photograph reproduced of her babies??

I hope Lily decides to hop back on that tree and do more climbing - it all looks so inviting and fun!!

Debbie, whenever you come to Germany, you're always welcome here! :)

I remember that Meg was worried I would mind her using one of my photos! But why shoud I? :) It's been such a sweet idea!
