i know this thread has been done for what kinda pets ppl want for X-mas, but I was wondering what kind of animals everyone was interested in getting for the new year!!!!! or saving up to get ;)...

I'm hoping to get another dog, a B.C., Aussie, or husky or mix of any of the breeds.
Preferably & hopefully a red/white if its a bc or husky or mix, or a blue merle if I find an Aussie or mix.

My mother fell in love with a Bichon Frise in Hallmark. We've been looking into adopting one or buying a pup from a BFCA breeder (no bybs for us, please). Other than that, our keet's belly is growing bigger by the second and we're expecting a LARGE clutch of healthy Budgerigar chicks :D

I really, really want to rescue a kitten from the SPCA! :) hopefully I'll be able to get one... I've kinda given up on getting another pupper until I move out, and Gonzo adores kitties and he needs some company. I would love a dilute calico, or Siamese mix, but personality will completely be the biggest factor ^__~

my sister wants a Bearded Dragon... but I'm afraid of reptiles... ick. :p

My New Years Pet is a Yellow Collared Mini-Macaw. Gizmo will be his name and he's coming to his new home on 12-29-2004. He has two brothers, Critter and Cracker, and is only 7 months old. I'll put up pics as soon as i can. :D :D

Yes, that is a Fox Squirrel. They are larger than Gray Squirrels, they are all over Wisconsin. We saw one while deer hunting it was the size of my rabbit Buster, the largest Fox Squirrel I have ever seen. We also have Red, Flying, and Black Squirrels in Wisconsin. Out of all of them, the large foxies are my favorite.

The only thing I would possibly add this year would be fish, in a pond, in my backyard! :)

But Amber (CamCamPup33) will have one of the first "new" pets of the year, tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm!!! :D Bennie is going to Amber and her family and will live in Florida!!! :D

The one you posted is a version of a Fox Squirrel found in your region, we do not have black capped foxes here in Wisconsin.

I've always wanted a hedgehog, I keep saying I'm going to get one but I've never gotten around to it. They are illegal to buy in Arizona, but I should be ok having one as a pet. There is a vet in town that I pet sit for so he said if I ever got one he'd be more than happy to be it's vet since he owns one himself. Other than that I really couldn't see any problems having one.

I also really want to get another rat, I would love to have one that is a cream or beige or tan or whatever the proper name for that color it. My second choice would be a blue dumbo.

I'll definatly be getting more rats this year, and I also want to get a ferret. I am also interested in some sort of reptile, maybe a Bibron's gecko or a cornsnake. That's probably about it. My catahoula comes next year. ;)
