Wandering Spirits Kennels is celebrating another birthday today--Bandit is 8! Bandit arrived here when he was a little over five years old, but we were well aquainted with him before that. He used to be owned by former neighbors. Bandit was not well cared for and escaped every chance he got. These were not his first idiot owners. As near as we can figure, Bandit has been through four homes before we got him. When he would decide to come home, he would never actually go to his home. He always came to our place. I would wait until I knew no one was home and sneak him back into his yard.

One day I just didn't take him home. They knew where he was, they could come get him if they wanted. Shortly after they moved away. They called and offered to "sell" me Bandit before they left. I couldn't even speak and made my husband talk to them. He told them that we would give him a good home and that we didn't care if Bandit "would throw blue eyed pups". A couple days later a bag of leashes and Bandit's AKC papers appeared on our doorstep. I immediately made a neutering appointment. They called once since. I suspect they wanted him back. They vanished when I told them he had been neutered.

My goofy guy! This pic always makes me giggle!
Bandit is the world's laziest husky. A sled dog he is not! He likes to come along for the run though and has mastered the art of keeping his tug line just tight enough that it looks like he might be working! All without ever actually doing a seconds worth of work!

Bandit is my talker. When he arrived the only command he knew was "speak". Who teaches a husky that!!?? Bandit will tell anyone anything anytime!
Happy Birthday, Bandit! Pig's ears for everyone!!
