Foster Tawny has been put to rest. :o(

I had the very difficult task of having my 14 year old foster kitty, Tawny, put to rest today. :( As I had suspected from the start, my vet confirmed that she did in fact have mammary gland cancer. Tawny also was in kidney failure and had succumbed to a very nasty upper respiratory virus as well. At the advice of my vet, we chose to end her suffering. Tawny was blessed with a very long life of 14 years, and she was a loved member of our family during the past 6 months that she has been with us.

Rest in peace, sweet Tawny girl ... you will be missed!:(

I'm so sorry to hear about Tawny. She was such a sweet girl and now she is at peace and she won't have to suffer anymore. She was a wonderful kitty and now her pain has ended and I know she is looking down on you from the RB bridge thanking you for all the love you gave her over the last 6 months.

Thank you all for the kind words ... I sent Tif an e-mail regarding Tawny, but haven't gotten a reply yet. I'm sure with the holiday rush, she is very busy at work. Gosh, I really hated to have to tell her this just one week before Christmas!:( :( :(

That was going to be my question... What about her other Mommie... I thought about Tawney when I was on the boat and wanted to ask about that situation..

Maybe that whole move for her was to spare her having to do that herself with her sweet baby.. I keep saying, "HE has a plan". I am sorry you had to go through this again after what you have been through yourself not long ago but at least you have the peace of mind that she was well cared for and was well loved.. Poor girl. RIP beautiful girl, both your Mommies will miss you.
