I've got such a busy next couple of days....I was laying in bed an hour ago thinking about all I have to do. I got up for a glass of water then crawled back in bed...thinking "What am I doing? Get up and get going." Just then Speckles decided to jump back on the bed and wormed her way under the covers and sprawled out as close to my tummy as she could....head up by my neck and back feet at the other end and she became my little Purr Factory. I've never heard her purr so loud. It was as if she was saying "Slow down Meowmie...you don't have to get up now!"

So I laid there for another hour. What a great way to start off the weekend. :)

Sounds like the purrrrfect way to wake up, slick:D

Last night, that is how I fell asleep, too. Two baby purr machines right next to my cheek. They would slow down and every now and then I would reach up for scritches and to rev their motors up again. It is the most calming sound in the world and I lay there just drinking it in:D

There's nothing like a purring, snuggling kitty to relieve stress!

I prescribe at least one dose daily, for the entire world. :D

Slick, that's so sweet - and a perfect excuse to get back under the covers! :) ;)

Is there any other way to wake up..... Not in my books there isn't. It just makes your day, doesn't it Slick. :D

I'm like you Debbie. When Poppy is sleeping with me and his motor stops, I just have to touch him and is starts all over again.
I keep doing this until I fall asleep.

Speckles, is it possible for you to come down here and give a lesson or two to Annie?

Now, you have exactly the right way to treat your Mom..........yes, wake her up gently with loving and purrs.

You see Annie thinks a fly by off of my head is the only way to wake me up properly.

Awwwwe! That is so sweet. They sure have a way of reminding us of what is important don't they? Especially during this hectic holiday time it's nice to be reminded to slow down and enjoy the simple, but oh so sweet, purr and snuggle. They are so much smarter than we are and have so much to teach us if we listen. I'm glad you heard Speckles and started your day with a relaxed smile.:)
