My foster Tai will be going to his forever home tomorrow. The lady who wants him lives 2 1/2 hours away from me and is going to come pick him up tomorrow night. She feels she was fated to adopt him :)
Attached is a picture of the gorgeous (and lucky) Tai.

I really do think that we, and I mean each and every pet owner here, is SO responsible with their pets. Not just the cat owners. I am such a believer in taking responsibility for bringing a pet in to your home. So many other folks just give the poor pet away, without finding a good home for it. Re-homing is not an awful thing at all. I think in some cases, it works out for the better.

Jen and other people who do rescues are just so darn responsible and set such good examples for those of us who dabble in it.

The pets of this world are so helpless. Thank goodness we have people like Jen. I know there are 100 others who do the same thing here, but at this time, I applaud Jen.

SAS, you are so right! I have so much admiration for Jen, Lisa and ALL the others that do rescues. You guys rock!

Good luck in your new furrever home Tai. You've been such a lucky kitty to be loved by Jen first and now by your new hoomans. :) What a Christmas present.

Tai is in his new home and doing much better than expected!

here is the letter
Tai is adjusting more quickly than I though he would. Last night I sat in front of the crate and he came right to the front of the cage and purred and purred. When I left him to go eat dinner he cried so I cracked the door of the crate and let him come out on his own - which he did and explored every inch of the house with absolutely no fear of Mel (the dog) - who followed him about everywhere. He is doing a lot of speaking - whenever I'm not right with him he's meowing. Are you sure he has claws in the front? he has swatted Mel several times (Her fault because she is being very pushy) but does not seem to use his claws - it may just be because he is not really scared of her. So he is definitely not hiding in a corner - he is up and about.

We all thought Tai would need a week or more to adjust. She was going to crate him for a day or two and then confine to one room for a week or so, but he took us all by surprise and decided that he KNEW he was home and he had better start settling in right away!

:D I love a happy ending.
