Hi,

about a year ago i discovered that a female cat was living on my fire escape in my new apt. I put a box out for her. I could not touch her without severe scratches. Soon after she had 3 kittens....I took the whole family in and found homes for 2 of her kittens....I ended up keeping the mom and one of her kittens....an all black male who is not by far the largest cat I have ever had...He is loving and friendly except he has strange habits....1. He licks the bathroom floor. This is detrimental because he licks up any dust or hair and ends up choking a lot. 2. He has specific places in the house that he singles out and licks. ie: The toilet paper holder.
3. He cries a lot. I have had him examined to see if it was physical...it seems to be emotional.

I was just wondering if anyone has had similar experience.

Believe it or not the kitten may have worms. One of the symptoms associated with having worms is the craving of wood. Toilet paper is made of this.
If it isn't that then your cat may like the taste of something your wearing? It could be a fragrance or hairspray. They spray onto the floor and you touch the toilet holder.
Remember their sense of smell is much greater. They can smell something tasty!
My cat likes to drink my bath water despite having the soap! I can't add bubble bath or soap until I know she is done drinking. I don't want her to get soap poisoning! Forget about taking her off the tub or locking her out! She will just cry or jump back up.
Just be aware of the ingrediants your using and maybe the answer is there. I still would have the kitten checked for worms just in case.
