As some of you know I recently lost my baby (Stormy)... Her brother Smokey is still with us.. But he doesn't seem to realize that his sister won't be coming home any time soon... He has been looking all over for her... He cant find her.... Hes getting frantic... Is he in denial? Or does he not realize that his sister is in Heaven and not on Earth? Please help... I dont know what to say to him....

The saddest thing,about losing a Cat,is that you can not explain that,to them,and they never have closure.The Siamese Squad,Looked for BJ,and I think,that they still expect him,to climb,into the Cat Pile,any day now.he doesnt kow that his Pal,is gone,and will look,for him,the way,that he always did.

Animals do grieve. Just last weekend someone came to our adoption day looking for a companion for a cat who'd lost his brother. I feel so bad for you and Smokey.

Please give him lots and lots of attention. Also, I truly believe that you can communicate with your pets. Think through what happened, be open to communicating it to Smokey through your mind, be peaceful about it, and let Smokey know that Stormy is safe at the RB. Good luck. Hugs.
