Icarus is off to the vet early

I can't wait any longer...I made an appointment to have him seen today. His tumor looks absolutely horrendous. It's amazing how much it can change in such a short time. It's very blue now. I tried using witch hazel, but it didn't help much. It's bigger as well.

Then the day before yesterday when I was looking at it, he squirmed, and I felt something on his belly. I shrugged it off..I thought I had just touched his penis. I should know by now that when something feels weird, it's because it is weird. I felt it again lastnight and looked, and he has another tumor. It couldn't have been there very long..

And now for more terrible news, if that wasn't enough. :( My vet is on vacation. He won't be back until Wednesday. He's the best exotic vet in Kelowna! His replacement doesn't really do exotics...and he's also the one who put Frisco down. Ever since Frisco died I've been just killing myself wondering if there was something that could have been done...If he says that he wants to put Icarus down, I don't think I could let him do it. I'd have to wait until my vet got back so I could get a second opinion..is that fair? :(

PLEASE pray that this tumor can be operated on..he told me that he couldn't operate too much inside the rectum...:(
