To the wilds of "The Highlands" to trap a stunning Siamese mix and her five kittens. She's one I had seen last year, but seeing as she was clean, and looked well fed, I figured she was owned by someone. Well I was right on that one...owned by deadbeats!   I wanted so badly to grab her shivering little body, and take her last night, but only saw one of her kittens. Hopefully all have regrouped into the garage by now, and I'll be able to trap all her babies and find them warm safe homes for Xmas. I won't even get into the stories I heard about the losers that "owned/own" her!  :(

Thanks for the luck Gary...I caught mom cat, and four kittens. I also abducted a sweet young tom cat that I'm sure was dumped out by the deadbeats who dumped the Siamese. I named mama cat "Jessie" and the sweet young male "Jordan". Two black porkpie kittens, and two tuxies, but no signs of the reported siamese mix fifth kitten. I have the people who's garage mom took refuge in keeping a peek for any remaining babies. I'm sure someone grabbed up the 5th though. *sigh*

Keep us posted Jan! Is this the same Siamese we saw on someones front walk last spring in semi-cold weather? If so, we posted about her/him, I remember because even though kitty looked ok, it is always odd to see a Siamese outside...(moosmom might remember that thread!)

Different area, different cat, but maybe related to each other. A few pics of the safari taken yesterday......

Hard to see, but mom is on top of a truck cap with one kitten, and a black one is slinking over.

Poor kitties won't ever have to eat garbage and suffer from the cold again. :( I took both mom cat (Jessie) and the young sweet tom (Jordan) as they know each other, and get along. ;)

Jordan smells the catnip, and is trapped within seconds...kittens had been trapped, just waiting on mom who was warming herself inside the garage.

Jordan and one of the black babies (one male/one female of blackies and tuxies) :)

Safari complete, the whole family warms up, and rests (notice all on the same level of a triple decker). The kittens although three months anyway, are already closing their eyes when I pat them...and mama Jessie has a serious case of elevator butt LOL!

Carla, I think the people were mistaken about any fifth kitten. I was there for a long time, and all the kittens would have showed up when Jessie went to collect them up to come eat. And get rescued. ;) What a sweet, and happy pair of kitties. Exhausted as well. :(

jan- Great photos!!!!!!! About time you took the camera with you!!! It's nice to see the before and after pics; esp. when we hear when they are adopted! I saw Jordan and Jessie today at Petsmart and they looked quite content and ready for some loving home-(did you take a pic today of them? or just of L and L?). I think the new guardians (when that happens) of Jordan and Jessie would love to see these!
