Live Concert - with live plays I find myself wishing to be onstage instead of focusing on the performers, frankly!

Fur - do you prefer short (wash and wear type) or long (lovely to brush) fur for your pets?

Fur - long and lovely, of course. I can always get it cut if it gets too ratty looking. It will grow back. Right Sparky?????

Hair on you - long or short or somewhere in between?

Hair on you - long or short or somewhere in between?

In between. I wish my hair looked more like Ina Garten's. Mine is not that straight. My stylist can get it in line with a high power blow dryer, a large flat brush and a lot of straightening cream. This is about how long my bangs are now, too. I have a haircut appointment a week from Saturday.

It's a bright, sunny day and you're going to be spending time outdoors. Do you wear sunglasses or slap on a hat?

And for hair, longer is better for me - more weight to hold it down. Right now it is shoulder length - and a bit too short, so I need to weigh it down with spackle so it does not go poof!

Definitely a hat - sunglasses do not shield my nose, which burns faster than any other part of me! Plus, I do not currently have prescription sunglasses that are up-to-date!

Your feet are cold! Socks or slippers?

I never am not wearing socks once I put them on! So it would have to be socks!

Another appendage - mittens or gloves?

Haggis, please!

Reeses Peanut Butter Cup or Hershey bar?

Haggis vs headcheese - neither; Reese's or Hershey bar- why is this an "or"? As long as they're Halloween treat size, one of each :)

But back to the question, for the next player: Reese's peanut butter cup or Hershey bar?

pomtzu

Peanut butter cup for me.

Next question: Electric blanket or down comforter/blanket.

Peanut butter cup for me.

Next question: Electric blanket or down comforter/blanket.

Oh, dear - a comforter as long as it is not actually down - the feather gather dust mites very effectively, so I wake up wheezing every time! My folks stop ever using an electric blanket when our Grat Dane, Grace, thought any lumps in the blanket might be that "monster" (dad's hand under the covers) that would sneak up on her, so became "the 100-pound moth," and chewed holes in the blanket!

Next Question:

Mulled Cider or Hot Cocoa?

Cider, please

Fiction or non-fiction?

Fiction or non-fiction?

Voracious reader of both! But for fun, I will say Fiction!

Subset of that question:

Romance or Suspense

Suspense, please. I've never gotten into romance novels.

You can have either a personal chef or a chauffeur. Which would you prefer?

Personal Chef - who would never have to ask what my allergies are, would already know!

I like driving!

Would you rather have a reptile or a rodent as a pet?

cassiesmom

A rodent ... are chinchillas considered rodents? Today's POTD chinchilla, Chilli, has fur that looks so smooth and soft to pet!

Time for some sporting! Would you rather go snow skiing or water skiing? (I'll be in the chalet drinking cocoa and looking at everyone's chic après-ski wear while you're deciding.)

Yes, Chilli is a rodent! And adorable of course!

Snow skiing, absolutely! Cross-country preferably!

Sports themed again:

Hockey or Basketball?

Hockey or Basketball?

Hockey! Derrick Rose soured me on basketball when he said he is trying to stay healthy for his son's graduation (his son is 2 years old). The Bulls are paying him a boat load of money and he's spent an awful lot of time keeping the bench warm.

Snack time! Would you like Reese's Pieces or M&M's?

Karen
11-19-2014, 01:48 PM
M&Ms, as I like Reeses' PB cups but not the pieces.

Here's one that may divide on the Mason-Dixon line:

Hot cereal -
Oatmeal or Grits?

cassiesmom

Oatmeal, please. When I think of grits I think of polenta, which I like more as a lunch or supper dish.

Would you rather ... take a ride on a sailboat, or a motor boat? (I've never gone sailing; I would like to try it!)

Taxi as long as it does not smell of perfume or cigarette smoke!

The mountains or the beach?

Right now? Mountains - as they are getting snow in the mountains, but we are getting sleet here, much is my least favorite form of precipitation!

Beach for me - as long as it is an ocean beach.

Which would you rather have: fruit pie or creme pie

Definitely fruit pie - sorry I did not post a question.
Today I had leftover apple pie for breakfast! Yum!

Hmmm... could I have half a slice of fruit pie (apple) and half a slice of cream pie (maybe chocolate cream), please?

Mittens or gloves? Gloves, please- I tend to drop things when I'm wearing mittens.

Would you prefer a private yacht (with a captain), or a private jet (with a pilot)?

Yacht here. I don't fly - ever - under any circumstances - unless someone would render me unconscious first.

Interesting question, Elyse. For me it would depend on the particular item. As far as books though, would you rather have a hard cover or paperback? Kindle doesn't count on this one, real books only.

Hard cover - less to worry about damaging it! Though paperbacks are lighter and smaller to store!

Would you rather read a Suspense or a Horror novel?

How about a suspenseful horror novel??? I like both, but I'd probably go with suspense.

And hardcover or paperback??? Neither - it's a Kindle for me. Now THAT is smaller to store. :) Before the Kindle tho, I would go hard cover. But with the issues with my hands and arms from the cervical spine surgery, any book is "uncomfortable" for me, since it hurts my hands and arms to hold it, and turning the pages is difficult to almost impossible at times.

Next question.............

Wine
Beer
Mixed drink

Do you put Christmas gifts out as you wrap them, or do you wait to put them under the tree just before time to open gifts?

I do all the wrapping the night before the big day! Sadly we cannot have a real tree here, so there's be no place to put them ahead of time, anyway!

Would you rather have (trying to decide which to make) Tollhouse cookies, Spritz Christmas trees or gingerbread cookies for Christmas?

Toll house !!! I'm doing my cookie baking today - a double batch each of Toll house and also peanut butter. Baked pumpkin bread on Sunday, and tomorrow I'll do a couple of apple pies. Jen will do Christmas dinner - YAY.......:D

And Karen answered the presents question before I had a chance, but I do it both ways - depending what's in the package. Anything edible such as any baked goods or candies, doesn't get put out till Christmas morning. Too many critters around here with super good "smellers", and they could get a whiff of what's in the package and decide to open it. Everything else gets put out when wrapped.

Next question: On a busy day such as Christmas, do you prefer a big sit down dinner, or a more simple buffet???

Sit Down dinner - it makes it more of an "event" I think!

Baseball - completely!

Do you prefer snow on weekends or weekdays?

I was at the grocery store last night - no, not buying milk and bread and eggs, I had all those – just some things that were supposed to be back in stock that day, and a bag boy - yes, boy, with the complexion to prove he was still a teenager - was grousing that the storm was not going to hit on a schooldays! I wanted to gently tell him that, in a few years, when he is a working adult, jobs rarely get cancelled because of snow, so he should start getting used to it!

I totally LOVE snow- week days, weekends - I'll take it anytime. In fact we have two storms heading our way, one starting tonight into tomorrow then round two on Tuesday. Weather reports are saying we could get up to 20" before it's over. Bring it on!

Oh Karen, I heard something on the news this morning that the boy at the store would be interested in. Some school districts are eliminating days off for snow. Instead, the teachers send their students assignments electronically (maybe IPAD, not sure) that are due when school reopens.

A question about those old, classic movies with Bogey & Bacall, Cary Grant, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis......

Colorized or the original black & white?

cassiesmom

Popcorn or cheese popcorn?

Garrett's Chicago mix... half caramel corn, half cheese popcorn :)

Momcat, I'd rather see them black and white. For example, "It's a Wonderful Life"- that is a movie I can't imagine in color.

Continuing on the movie theme... would you like to see an animated movie, or a live action movie?
