My dad will be having cataract surgery in the morning at 7 am. Even though it's simple surgery he is 82 years old and on medication for seizures. If you guys could send a few prayers and positive thoughts I would really appreciate it.
I'll be leaving at 5 am to take him and will be back later tomorrow afternoon if all goes well. Now off to get a few hours of sleep before the alarm goes off at 4 am. I'll be one tired girl tomorrow.

He'll be in our prayers. Everyone I know who has had the surgery says the world is so much prettier afterwards!

I am praying for your father to have successful surgery and for you to have a bit more energy than you anticipate! Hang in there, all of us are thinking of you and your father much! It can only be for the better, right?

I remember you saying you were going to be with him tomorrow. I'll be praying is goes smoothly and quickly. :)
My grandma had that surgery a few months ago (she's in her 70s) and said it was a fairly easy procedure. Hers was done with lasers, is that what he's having too?

Thanks everyone!
I just got home and left him with a caretaker. He is doing very well. It was even easier and quicker than I had heard. Our only problem now is keeping his finger out of his eye. He wants to scratch and rub it. Luckily he is wearing a patch today and won't take it off until we see the doctor tomorrow but it will be a battle after that.
I think a nap is now calling my name.:D

I just caught this thread, and glad to hear things went well with your dad's surgery. Hope you're rested and ready to deliver some hugs to your dad...and some for yourself as well. ;)

Wow Micki, that is kind of wild. We are both the same age and our birthdays are three days apart and I now I find out your father had you late in life too. What else do we have in common?? I hear Twilight Zone music.
Yes, of course I'd share my Daddy with you. I know I'm thankful to still have him around to hug and I'll be sure to deliver all those hugs for him, he'll appreciate it.
Thanks again everyone for the support.
