Hi again friends,
I'm writing this w/such a heavy heart. As some of you already know, I have my hands full w/several outdoor cats that I'm desperately trying to find homes for. I can't call them feral because they're so tame; they're simply outdoor cats.
One of the litters consists of 3 six month old cats, one black male and 2 tiger striped/mottled females. All 3 have been fixed. The male, Chessie, has found a good home w/my cat sitter and, even though I cried because I miss him, I know he's in a really good home w/a loving 'mom'. His sisters, however, haven't been so fortunate. In the eyes of the world, they're just plain ol' tabbies. But their personalities are so sweet; they're shy but loving once they get to know you. Their names are Fraidy Cat and Star Kitty. They are still living in my garage because I haven't had the heart to turn them out again since their spaying because the other outdoor cats pick on them, won't allow them to eat or sleep in the boxes that I've provided. I've had to stand there and guard them while they eat in the past. They're now so loving and they're finally relaxing and I think that to turn them out again would be cruel. But it's also cruel, in my opinion, to doom them to live their lives in a garage. I can tell that they're getting bored, even if they are thankful to have a warm bed and good food. After Chessie went to his new home, they both sat by the garage door and cried. It was heartbreaking, especially to see them wander around the garage looking for him. They seem to have adjusted now and I want so much for them to have some of the happiness that their brother does.
Is there anyone out there who can possibly open their heart and home to one or both of these babies? I have 7 indoor special needs cats and to add 2 more would be pushing the envelope. I don't have any pictures of them; my camera died; but I think I might buy a disposable camera. I'll admit to being a knucklehead when it comes to posting pictures on this site. But if you're interested, OR IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE, please email me. I can scan the pictures and send them in an email. THAT I know how to do. :-)
Any help that you can offer, whether in the form of a new home or passing the word, will be so greatly appreciated both by me and the furkids. I'm about to move house soon and I really want to make sure that these babies are taken care of.
Blessings,
M
