Can anyone tell me what to look for in determining what sex my pet duck is? I've had her for a couple of months now, and I've always called it "she." However... I would really hate it if she was actually a "he"... but I am really anxious to discover what it is...PLEASE HELP!!![COLOR=red[B][COLOR=red][FONT=century gothic][CODE]

Hmmm. I'd look up on google for a duck breeding sight. Maybe look in your phone booth for help. Also, you could try finding an exotic animal vet for the answer!

My boyfriend has owned mallards through the years and they are pretty easy to sex at about 6 months old. Mallard males have green heads and you can see the green coming in around 6 months or sometimes even before. Also the females are MUCH louder than the males. The females have more of a quack and the males are a lot quieter and more like a low buzzing sound. You never said what kind of duck you have. That would help a lot. ;)

Do you have a picture of the duck- that could help us a little better.
