then hissing...
My newest foster! :D :D :D
Her name is Mia Carmella. She is GORGEOUS and sweet, but oh-so BAD! She is a terible biter. I took her home to hopefully train her not to bite. She was taken away from her mom before/around 4 weeks old, was adopted, then two days later returned because the landlord wouldn't allow her. Re-adopted and returned 9 days later because of the biting. Then she was at a foster house separated from other cats because the foster mom had foster cats that didnt like other cats, or other various prblems that caused the fosters to be separated.
So here I come along, with my weakness for tabbies and bring hme this sweet face:

She hissed and swatted at Allen... who looked utterly surprised.

Pouncer's growling at her, and the kittens are curious, but all three hiss at each other. Should be a fun night at the catnapper hotel! :D
Better pictures coming after everyone settles in!

She is so adorable! Good luck with little Miss Biter.
I'm glad to see you are going to continue fostering and I promise I'll try not to convince you to keep every foster you take in.:D

She'll learn from the big cats how to behave. They will put the smack down on her.:p
Use a toy on a long pole, to teach play and not to bite hands. If she bites, walk away.

I know what you're going through!
Another example of what happens to kittens when they're taken too early.
We took Josie at 5 weeks. She was in a shelter so we had no idea how old she as until we took her to the vet.
She was & still is a terrible biter!
She hasn't had other kitties to teach her though, being an only furkid ;)
I'm sure Miss Mia will learn SOON from the big cats, biting hurts!!!
Good luck!
She's ADORABLE!!! Gotta love that face! Looks like she's smiling in the first pic!

What a pretty girl indeed, I hope she learns not to bite, I don't think I could have returned her if it were me, as already I have fallen in love with her gorgeous face.
Good luck on training little Mia, it may just take lots of love , time and patience and I reckon she is in the right place to receive all of the above.:)

Oy, something better happen soon...Abby is petrified of her, and she put Pouncer in his place! He's now afraid of her! I hope they all work things out tomorrow and start playing together.
Grant says she's a sweet cat, just scared and he's been playing with her all night. I've been working on the computer and have all 4 of my guys with me. I just went and gave them their 8:00 meal and Abby followed me, and so did Mia. Abby basically growled and hissed at Mia, who grolwed and hissed back. Its funny because she is acting EXACTLY like Pouncer did to her arrival :D So perhaps she'll loosen up and like her new friend like Pouncer did with her. If anything is going to happen, it looks like its up to the boys - specifically Allen or Harry.
I have her in a cage right now crying her little heart out :( I hate having to do that. But its the best thing for the time being. I'll take her out again in the morning for supervised freedom in the livingroom.

I also hopes she calms down soon. She looks so precious, and would be even moreso if her attitude would match:D
I am sure with your love and attention, she will learn to calm down and realize if she bites, she wont get the attention that she wants. GOOD LUCK! she is really precious, I am already in love with her. Spunky can be good:D Bet your other cats would disagree;)

She sure is a cutie pie. :) Hopefully she'll be able to be socialized soon and stop biting. My Sky is also a biter but he never hurts me or breaks my skin. He's just fiesty at times. Good luck.:)

OH... and I would trim everyone's nails.I do that whenever a new cat comes here.I clip everyone's except my 16 year old BooBoo.He needs all the help he can get at his age.LOL
It's easy if your hubby holds them on the kitchen table and they have those soft velcro masks for unpredictable ones.Trim less nail if not use to cutting them so you don't hurt them.Good Luck.Carla and Mike

Awwww, she's a very pretty little girl! I can see why you wanted to have her come home with you, I would have too.
I'm sure you'll get her little biting thing under control. It helps to put a stuffed toy in thier mouths when they feel biting is acceptable. Saying "gentle" while rubbing her paws and speaking soothingly is how I trained Phoebe and Sami at 5 weeks old. To this day, Phoebe even scratches the cat tree without claws!! ;) It works!
Good luck with her. More pictures when you can, she's too cute!

She is settling in better today. She slept all night with my daughter because she was not handling the cage well at all. This morning she was desperate to play and still doesn't quite know how to play with other cats. But she's getting better and Harry and Pouncer have been giving her a good run. Harry gave her a few very well placed swats and she looked at him stunned. I think its working, because she came to me and sat on my lap for few mintues and only once tried to bite. She will make a FABULOUS cat once the nipping stops. She is sweet, and playful (spunky! :D ) her motor is always ready to go, and she will fall asleep on your lap. Everyone's dream cat! Except the biting. I lied earlier. She's now on my lap trying to bite th stuffing out of me
Carla, I had Jen trim her nails yesterday and my kids all have neat trim nails. I was worried about that too, especially after she gave Allen a big old swat on his face. If she had her full claws, he'd be sliced up BAD. I checked his eyes, so she didn't hit him there, but it was a hard swat and he kept pawing his face for a few minutes. I checked and she didn't break skin anywhere and he's just fine this morning... but I shudder to think of what would have happened if she hadn't been trimmed.

Hopefully,when she becomes more accustomed,to you,and the Resident Cats,shewill stop,biting so much,and calm down.The AWA Toys,that I sent you,areideal,for that,as they are very durable,and will exhaust a bit,of her energy! Good Luck,with your new Kitty!
